    I don't think I would get tired of the food. But I would get tired of the fact that I couldn't have Mcdonalds fries. Or the Peruvian chicken wrap from the mom and pop place down the street. Or even something as simple as the air popped popcorn I make and spray with I can't believe it's not butter and parmesan cheese.

      That's a good point. Having the freedom to enjoy your favorite day to day pleasures is something to think about.

    Never I love good and french food. When we were on a cruise I hurt people complaining about the food but they were so happy when they were eating pizza. I don't think Americans have taste buds anymore

      That's a good point. Maybe they are used to eating too much fast food?

    it probably wouldn't bother us on food if we get bored we will get off the ship on port of calls and just find different food to eat no big deal, but to honest I don't think we can do more than a 2-4 week cruise without getting bored

      I would agree. I love cruising but I'm not sure I would want to do that long of a cruise. Thanks for watching!

      I went on a 6 month Mediterranean cruise once but I was in the Navy so I was kept busy with chores between ports. They should have stuff to occupy your time while at sea. Perhaps the choices just didn't fit your lifestyle?

      @venturecast  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Stuff_And_Things I did a couple of Med cruises and a couple of West Pacs. They did keep me busy with "activities " in between ports as well, lol. Some days, I miss those days. But when I really think about it, it's more the people I really miss. These days, I prefer the cruising lifestyle much more.

    They get any type of food that they want. My goodness what would you want.

      Lol, seems like reasonable requests.

      Maybe they need to mix up their dining habits?

    Come on - they're on a cruise - they've got nothing to complain about - the crew are on the ship for months at a time.......

    If you're on a world cruise you need to develop a discipline for eating. When I was in the Navy the omelet options for breakfast were my best friend. Just don't live your life on repeat and you'll be fine.

    Omg, the whole point of the cruise is to travel the world. They should get out at the ports and explore the food. The cuisine is so much a part of understanding the culture of a country or region. It's such a waste when people cruise and just stay on board. If they eat only on board, then that's up to them, but those are the people who need that regularity. If you get bored on board then you might be dull as a board. Just get out there! And it's absolutely ridiculous to spend so much money on a 9-month cruise and not get out and explore. Just go rent a houseboat then and don't travel. Sure, the food is included on board, but a lot of countries can be very inexpensive to eat in. Or you can just try one snack you've never had before every time and the food on the ship can be your baseline or comfort food then that's still huge variety. IMO, some people are so entitled. I get that it's something to think about when you're considering long distance cruising since you don't get to cook (though I would argue making different combos with the ingredients in the buffet can be like cooking), but I would easily last 9 months and make the cruise a foodie journey. Plus even on short cruises, the chefs often have themes around where the ship is travelling through, especially in the buffet and this makes sense because they get slightly different supplies when they are at port that would be available locally. I see that even on 7-day cruises, so I can't imagine the head chef not thinking about this when feeding people for 9 months. 150 ports of call.

    sure, the food is edible but nothing to look forward to I’ve been on here since day one and the only place the food was good, was at chops

      Thanks for giving your perspective as someone who is actually on the cruise. Hopefully the memories you're making will make up for the lack of excitement in the food department. Thanks for watching!

      yes, that guy only gets interior cabins the cheapest on the ship. And he only goes on cheap old ships. I’m on the world cruise and nobody’s even mentioned him here.

    I was on a 6 mos deployment in the Marines on a ship and never got tired of the food. I took a 7 day cruise last year and the food tasted all the same regardless of whether it was in the main dining, buffet or specialty restaurants. Go figure.

      @venturecast  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, thanks for your service! I spent a lot of time on amphib ships so I spent a lot of time around Marines. Great people. That's a good point. I'm pretty much a meat and potatoes kinda guy so I'm easy to please. However, I can see how someone might get bored of the food or the food options. Thanks for watching!

      I was in the Navy. I did my induction process though at an Air Force base in Mobile or Montgomery, don't remember which.
      Air Force food there sucked. Navy food was always the best imo. I'm curious how was the food when you were at a Marine base?

    • @jtam70
      @jtam70 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@Stuff_And_Things I was in Lejeune in NC. The food was not bad. When I was in Oki, the food on base was not the best, however, the food at Kadena Air Force base in Oki was really good. So I guess it depends where you are.
