Cruise Ship Passengers Trapped in Alaska! | Carnival Cruise Lines Orders 3 New Mega Cruise Ships!
Carnival Cruise Lines announces their order of three new cruise ships from Italian ship builder. The new ships will be the biggest they have built thus far and will roll out between 2029 and 2033. Also, local Skagway newspaper reports that 150 passengers were stranded on the White Pass Rail Road due to a rockslide. They were transferred to busses and driven to Haines, Alaska where the cruise ships will pick them up.

While docked in Costa Maya, Mexico a a small fire broke out on Icon of the Seas. According to Royal Caribbean, the fire was in a crew area and was quickly extinguished. The ship also experienced a power loss which resulted in the emergency generators kicking on and providing power. Passengers have reported feeling the ship shudder and some have claimed there was an explosion preceding the fire....

you can also get to isla passion on a power catamaran. The catamaran is a very relaxing boat ride. We have done it twice and have it booked again in a few weeks.
Thanks for the tip and hope you have a great time on your upcoming cruise! I did, back in January end up doing the catamaran to Passion Island and I agree it was way more relaxing, lol. My daughters were kicked off of a spirit flight due to overbooking. Missed the embarkation and met the cruise ship in Turks and Caicos. Can attest that it’s a huge pain in the ass with getting things right with Customs and the such. Even though it wasn’t carnivals fault they were very helpful with this arrangement and smoothed things out with the US and Turks. Shockingly Spirit made things right too.
Wow, sorry to hear that your daughters had to go through that hassle. Thankfully, it sounds like things got worked out. I haven't had anything like that happen thank goodness but I can imagine it would be frustrating. Thanks for watching and sharing your story.

Is there a wall outside your door or can you see the aqua theater? Was it noisy? Thank you
No, unfortunately you can't see the Aquatheater from that cabin. I'm not sure but I think all of the Aquatheater facing cabins are classified as suites. The cabin was the last one all the way aft in that hallway so you didn't get a lot of the usual noise you get from other guests transiting to and from their cabins. The only noise you would occasionally get was from the crew accessing a crew only door at the very end of the hall but it was minimal. All in all, it was pretty peaceful and had a great view from the balcony. Also it was in close proximity to the Boardwalk area which was nice. Let me know if you have any other questions. #replay. Glad you are safe and glad your power is back on. After Hurrian Irma - 9 days no power in 98 degree weather! We ended up buying a generator. Then when Hurrican Ian came - we couldn't get it to start! We are now looking at propane or dual fuel so we have more options - you may want to consider that. Hurricanes are no joke.
Yes, I was looking at a dual fuel generator on Amazon. They had some reasonable prices. But yes, I am definitely going to be doing some power upgrades. Thank you and have a great weekend!

Not yet. They just sent out a text saying that they plan on having 50% of the effected customers back up by the end of the day tomorrow. Last count there was still 1.6 million without power. So, I'm guessing tomorrow or the next day.

I have always been apprehensive about going to an auction though, being ..well..not wealthy will just say..lol. Looks like it still might be worth going to even if I end up not buying anything.
