We both freaked out so much finding the hutches! Cut the dive a little short with how much air we used up screaming lol!! Glad you enjoyed the finds as much as we did!! 😄😄
Snorkeling the area in the early 2010s there was hundreds! They have died off considerably. Id personally say theres hardly any left from what their used to be! The river/lake bottom used to be thick with them! Now theres just small patches of em!
There's hutches from around Canada, ya! Just the area of Ontario we are in wasnt really settled till the late 1880s, and hutch bottles are way harder to find here then in other areas! So finding these ones we got super excited!
Thanks 😄😄 Very happy to have finally found my first hutch! I think you found your first one a couple years back now If i remember correctly. So you know the feeling!
Impressive on the hutches, but my question is is there a dam there? Why is there so much activity that look like fencing or building structures that deep underwater maybe you guys could have explained in the video why that stuff was down there and what it was good though😎
I'm pretty sure those structures you mention were the cages to hold the stones for the docks and or wharf that was once there. Other one looks like a scow or small barge probably from old log booms
Congratulations on those hutches guys ! Why are these log structures under water ? Has the lake level risen over the years ? Awesome dive and video for sure. Wonderful to see your parents on camera as well. Best wishes and regards to everyone !
Thanks Allan, was awesome to find thoughs hutches! Where we were diving used to be a huge old saw mill. They were dock peirs from the 1890s! The cold warer preserves them very well, and they are huge!
Epicness!!! Great underwater filming too!!
Happy Summer guys!
Heck ya!! Still excited to finally have found my first hutch bottle! Glad you enjoyed! Hopping to get out on a few more dives this year still!
loveeeeeeeeee!!!!

The amount of zebra mussels out there is wild compared to the early 90s

They are indeed old dock cribbing. Used to be a large old saw mill in the area. Also loads of logs scattered on the bottem of the channel!

You should go look for rum boats off st. Joe's
These bots I don't mind. Lol
Hutches are definitely some of the funnest bottles to find! 😄
