Hey im glad i found your video! I am wondering what your thoughts would be on someone using Createspace for a childrens book, do you think it wouldnt look very good, colour, front cover, paper, and so on?

Hey Meg, thanks for the helpful video! If you decide to print a book locally with a company like Corporate Color, how do you distribute via Amazon when you sell online? I’m super new to this process. Thanks!

Awesome photos and cover! I'm thinking of going with Ingram Spark and Create Space for mine because of the whole Amazon and Barnes and Noble connections and what not. I write fiction novels, in which there are no photos, other than the cover. The most important thing to me, is that the words are legible and from what I've seen, Create Space and Ingram Spark do a good job.

How long does the process take after submitting your book to a book maker. How long does it take for them to ship back the final product?

i just formatted my first book the createspace kinda way, when i wanted to print i changed the page set up to bookfold and selected 4 pages per sheet. For my printer set up i selected manually print on both sides and unselected 'Print Mark up', my problem now is that the headers and footers are not aligning perfectly on the back to back print. I held my page against my lamp and the number '1' is not well aligned with '2' on the next page, its off by almost half an inch, same thing with the author name and book title. Is the away i can fix this

Thanks, I am writing an art book called Paint and Be Present. I am showing my techniques for turning your favorite photos into paintings...focusing on the now, instead of the past or the future.
I have been playing with create space, so this was helpful. Thanks!! I will check out your blog. I am Jilly Willy Art on etsy. Thanks, Jilly

Amazon, acts like a publisher by having 1/3 of your book reviewed on the Look inside feature; they also will put your book on sale when they desire. many things that i hate about them. If you sold 1,000 books at the same time they charge you the same book rate. They did my color fine but I have never published with others; they do wait for 2 weeks to send you an authors copy you buy, and there are times they screwed up my books when printing.

Meg Le Vu Who did you use to outsource your formatting?
Also probably a dumb question, but with corporate printer, did you have to redo the format files or did you give them your actual book to print?

How do you distribute your book? Do you use Amazon or???

  • @valerieguillaume52

I would've gone that route, with Amazon and Createspace, except that I could not log into my Amazon account, after my email was hacked and I could not get into my old email. Amazon, won't accept my new email. Bummer. I even have a Kindle account which I can't get into. I will find a way to get around it, though. Any other suggestions as to how to do that are also welcomed.
