Everything you did in Quest mode is what Japanese pro gamers were doing in the heyday of VF back in the early 2000s. Imagine how you would feel conquering various arcades then moving on the big grand prize itself. That's what the ending showcased, what players actually did. Gosh, I LOVE QUEST MODE. Truly the BEST single player experience. VF6 and VF REVO needs this badly. VF 6 need to evolve it to the true next level.
BRO, that ending sequence gave me chills and I'm not even kidding. It must have been the sickest thing ever to be part of that subculture in Japan at the time. Every tournament and arcade footage I saw while researching for this video showed more about how big it was. From an outsider view it appears they had what the modern "FGC" strive to be. They also had such a great infrastructure with the VF net, the card system which loads your profile (and customizations i think?), so cool. I hope we'll see some of these players again more with VF6 and if it comes with a quest mode good and challenging as this one, its going to be the best game ever
So it’s kinda like the Super Ghost Battle in Tekken 8 now? I have people utterly destroy me and I download their ghost and their ghost just never lives up to the hype.
Yes but the Virtua Fighter 4: Evolution one actually works 😂 They let the first arcades easy on purpose so you'll have a sense of progression. But when you encounter the good players on the second half and especially the later arcades, it's Brutal 😅 pretty hard. It baffles me that they achieved this on 2003 and other games still can't replicate this in 2024

hope this mode returns in VF6 with even better ghost AI
Absolutely, me too brother
Tekken copied this whole thing from VF4! This brings back memories. I spent hours playing this mode with Akira and Lion. Love it!
Yes they did!! 😂 This game is amazing, I got completely hooked for the past weeks. I'm glad you liked it! :D
