Other than that, I don't know most of the ships on the list, and I'm salty because Hiccstrid, Rayllum, and New Dream (Rapunzel and Eugene) were not even in here 😅

Yesss, Langst fics are my comfort fics, and when it's both a langst and klance fic? Heaven. I personally cannot deal with irl shipping (of real people) due to the number of content creators and celebrities that have come forward to talk about how it strained their relationship. Sure, there is a certain appeal to them since it is wish fulfilment, but there should be careful consideration and understanding of if these creators ask for people to stop

Like accounts, people trying to find the smallest clues by analyzing every aspect of the people’s life. But I feel cringe when I come across this content or when I read fanfic about real people that are set in real life. I actually read a lot, don’t mistake me, but I just can’t do it anymore because it just makes me feel uneasy. Maturing made me change my opinion, that’s true.

I just finished a 2 hour exam- Coley, you are amazing! Edit: In regards to Clexa and the bury-your-gays things, Lexa's actress had to leave for another show. That is why her character died. It felt very rushed and it was likely because the actress was leaving for FTWD.
And its worth saying they werent the only queer characters on the show, *and* the show was pretty willing to kill off characters. So while it got slammed as bury your gays, and it did have a bad taste with how few queer characters they were in tv in general then, yeah I always felt actually calling it bury your gays just showed those people didnt actually know much about the show.

Stony is a ship that's basically been around since the 80s, they're the original, the Marvel equivalent of Spock/Kirk, the Avengers "mom and dad". They also canonically got married in a certain comic. Stucky is an MCU invention that's weird for anyone who likes the comics since Bucky was his kid sidekick until Brubaker, it's like shipping Batman and Robin. They also erased Steve's canon gay best friend from childhood and gave his backstory to Bucky in the MCU, so I'm not keen on Stucky for multiple reasons.
I think a lot of newer Marvel fans had the MCU ruin Stony for them despite the canon content from the comics. Stony had years of build up in the comics and the MCU just kinda had three movies where they were super antagonistic towards one another and didn't have enough romantic chemistry between the actors to justify it in the MCU. Comic fans are obviously going to have a very different opinion of Stucky if they have all of the context of the comics, but as a seperate entity, the MCU made Stucky really appealing esp to newer fans. But hell I've seen TonyxBucky fans go gaga over the two in specifically the MCU, so ships don't need to be logical.

Stucky got really big after CATWS and it's very popular so avoiding the content is more difficult than finding the content. I feel the same way about most Tony ships since I don't like RDJ very much or the MCU's version of Tony ever since any movie after IM3 came out. But that's just my opinion and honestly my opinion doesn't matter so meh.

Fans do have the power to influence shows but big corporations aren't going to listen to fans when they are more interested in money. Like take Destiel, we got a canon "I love you" but it still isn't called "canon" by a lot of people. Whether or not a fan favorite pairing ends up existing in a piece of media depends on more factors than just the fans, creators, and producers. See OG ATLA watchers reaction to Katara and Aang getting together or the reaction to Korra and Asami getting together. Many people weren't happy for a variety of reasons. A ship being canon or not does not determine its worth to the individual or the fandom. There are plenty of reasons to dislike the MCU and the comics too. I'm not gonna debate which ship is better because I don't have skin in the game. But let's try not to use such a stigmatizing word like "delusion", yeah? Call it absurd, highly improbable, illogical, false, etc but let's step away from "delusion".
It's one of my most favourite ships ever. Another novel (that also has an animation adaptation) that I adore and can wholeheartedly recommend to you because the ship's devotion for each other comes very close to wangxian's, is "Heaven Official's Blessing". These two ships have a very special place in my heart.
Merlin was what got me into fanfic way back when. Genuinely some of the best romcom au fics out there. Here's a few that I love with all my heart: - Time Forward by kianspo - Straws in the Wing by i_claudia - Until you do (I'll bring you tea and honey) by TheAvalonian - ...and, of course, anything by Footloose. The behemoth that is the Loaded March series is a must read in my honest opinion. :)

I've read Time forward and Until you do both, loved them. The second one I've marked for later. Personally I really loved - Fundamental Imperfection by Starlingthefool (AU. The second part was heartbreaking but so beautiful) - This silly ol' dance is perfect ofr two by SlantedKnitting (Also pretty intense AU) - The pact by Cori Lannam (Also AU. Apparently I like very intense AU's...)
Oh my god, Merthur (and just Merlin in general) is my new obsession right now. I wasn't able to watch it when it first came out because I was about 3 when it first aired, but I recently found it and I HIGHLY recommend especially if you're into fantasy and adventure sort of things.

The tension between them. I already called it in the first movie and damn, there are some good and epic fanfictions out there. The enemies to lovers has to be done well, but redemptions arcs can be so satisfying!

TBH I first got into sterek via the ships. I was actually looking for Scrubs fanfic (don’t judge lol) and accidentally clicked on a Fic of the same name and accidentally got hooked! (Although the fic I found was an au that really changed their personalities lol) It’s a perfect ship for angst, sexual tension, and enemies to to friends to lovers. I’d recommend Stilinski’s Home for Wayward Wolves - owlpostagain, Ao3. It’s a bit of an au but keeps the shows themes and because of the way it’s done will sort of introduce the characters to you so it’s not a complete head dive into the unknown! I might also be picking it because its got some protection/rescue stuff and I simp for that.
for me it's the fact that victuuri is the only ship that 98% of people love, the only ship that basically no one would say anything bad about. and honestly, at least for me among all of these ships victuuri and johnlock are by far the healthiest.

In regards to Clexa and the bury-your-gays things, Lexa's actress had to leave for another show. That is why her character died. It felt very rushed and it was likely because the actress was leaving for FTWD.
And its worth saying they werent the only queer characters on the show, *and* the show was pretty willing to kill off characters. So while it got slammed as bury your gays, and it did have a bad taste with how few queer characters they were in tv in general then, yeah I always felt actually calling it bury your gays just showed those people didnt actually know much about the show.

I'll be honest ... I was looking for my favorite pair of idiots ❤️ they were my first honest OTP when the book came out
Stony is a ship that's basically been around since the 80s, they're the original, the Marvel equivalent of Spock/Kirk, the Avengers "mom and dad". They also canonically got married in a certain comic. Stucky is an MCU invention that's weird for anyone who likes the comics since Bucky was his kid sidekick until Brubaker, it's like shipping Batman and Robin. They also erased Steve's canon gay best friend from childhood and gave his backstory to Bucky in the MCU, so I'm not keen on Stucky for multiple reasons.
I think a lot of newer Marvel fans had the MCU ruin Stony for them despite the canon content from the comics. Stony had years of build up in the comics and the MCU just kinda had three movies where they were super antagonistic towards one another and didn't have enough romantic chemistry between the actors to justify it in the MCU.
Comic fans are obviously going to have a very different opinion of Stucky if they have all of the context of the comics, but as a seperate entity, the MCU made Stucky really appealing esp to newer fans.
But hell I've seen TonyxBucky fans go gaga over the two in specifically the MCU, so ships don't need to be logical.

Fans do have the power to influence shows but big corporations aren't going to listen to fans when they are more interested in money. Like take Destiel, we got a canon "I love you" but it still isn't called "canon" by a lot of people. Whether or not a fan favorite pairing ends up existing in a piece of media depends on more factors than just the fans, creators, and producers. See OG ATLA watchers reaction to Katara and Aang getting together or the reaction to Korra and Asami getting together. Many people weren't happy for a variety of reasons. A ship being canon or not does not determine its worth to the individual or the fandom.
There are plenty of reasons to dislike the MCU and the comics too. I'm not gonna debate which ship is better because I don't have skin in the game. But let's try not to use such a stigmatizing word like "delusion", yeah? Call it absurd, highly improbable, illogical, false, etc but let's step away from "delusion".

Typical enemies to lovers dynamic with pretty boy. Dark side vs good side, which is the foundation of lots of interesting storylines and arguments. (It´s the same reason ships like dramione or sarah/jareth from labyrinth are so popular.)
The tension between them. I already called it in the first movie and damn, there are some good and epic fanfictions out there. The enemies to lovers has to be done well, but redemptions arcs can be so satisfying!

TBH I first got into sterek via the ships. I was actually looking for Scrubs fanfic (don’t judge lol) and accidentally clicked on a Fic of the same name and accidentally got hooked! (Although the fic I found was an au that really changed their personalities lol)
It’s a perfect ship for angst, sexual tension, and enemies to to friends to lovers. I’d recommend Stilinski’s Home for Wayward Wolves - owlpostagain, Ao3. It’s a bit of an au but keeps the shows themes and because of the way it’s done will sort of introduce the characters to you so it’s not a complete head dive into the unknown! I might also be picking it because its got some protection/rescue stuff and I simp for that.
for me it's the fact that victuuri is the only ship that 98% of people love, the only ship that basically no one would say anything bad about. and honestly, at least for me among all of these ships victuuri and johnlock are by far the healthiest.
