The Lake Crescent part got me. I grew up in Port Angeles. The first twilight movie came out when I was in High School and my best friend had just moved to Forks. I spent a lot of time out there during the height of the craze and it’s always cool to see people heading out to the Peninsula to check it out. Moved to California over 2 years ago now and when I go back home, Lake Crescent always does something magical to me. Hope you enjoyed the Peninsula! It’s really pretty in the summer!

The sound of the ocean crashing on the shore is deafening if you sleep near the beach for a couple of weeks. You wake up and don't hear it after awhile, unless you listen for it. The rocky beaches make the difference in the sound.
We went to forks for the twilight stuff a while ago. We’ve been back several times just because it’s so beautiful, we rent cabins, go to the beach and just see the area. It’s absolutely gorgeous there. Also, one day that town is going to stop celebrating the movie.
That’s so lovely! I have plans to go back as well, beyond twilight, just because it was a very very cool place to reset the mind. I feel like they’ll have remnants of twilight for a long time :)🤍

I forget sometimes not every place looks like this, and it was nice to see someone appreciate it (and that maybe I should appreciate it more myself ;) ). Also, those things on the beach are "Nereocystis", or we just call them "bullwhip kelp". We used to find them on the beach all the time and whip at each other when we were kids, lol! They can really hurt though, lol! Awesome video :)

10:35 I was getting emotional here too. I remember when I first saw the twilight movies. It wasn’t till 2016. I was pregnant with my ex and my first child. Now every single time I hear a thousand years I get emotional because I used to listen to that song and love that I felt like I had a love story too. It was all destroyed by him.

It was like 5ish hours! Not bad but we did hit a lot of traffic coming out of Portland so it added a bit. The drive passed there and through the forks was desolate, nothingness. So if you’re not a night time driver or scared a little to embark on a realistically lonely journey-I’d advise doing it during the day/morning and definitely load the car with snacks and whatever you think you’ll need! I was glad we loaded up food/water! But we’re really equip for the late night drives cz we all came from touring musician type backgrounds so that evening shift was chill for us!
Also yes, I rented a car for my entire trip! You kind of need one especially if you venture out of Portland (like we did every single day!) our home base was Portland and then forks and then Seattle!
The beach the drive all so beautiful the earth mother gaia is so beautiful bless it be !! I would love to have a Victorian house right on the beach wake up every moring with a cup of hot chocolate and sit on the porch and listin and watch nature walk by and hear the waves crash on the rocks 🪨!! I would never would not to leave !! Bless it be to the earth mother gaia she so beautiful
I don't really care about Twilight. I mean I liked the movies, but obviously not as much as you do. I like the rain though that's why I wanted to live there. Also, it looks like a peaceful little town.
