Imagine in NYC this will be total chaos to an already unstable power system

Electric cars are needed, there won't be any need for bigger central generation and transmission systems if the energy is produced locally using wind and solar and using storage for backup

Solar & wind energy not practical yet and as a consumer if they switch to renewable energy your electric bill will go up significantly, my town switching 50% to solar & wind they sent me a letter states because of the switch they will increase my rates!!

Wind and solar have proven time and time again to be unreliable

@@InspectorKhaled I think it's a matter of striking a balance between getting the infrastructure put in place that matches the demand from EVs and the supply from locally produced renewable energy. The cost should be spread over a long time to make it more affordable

    Money will come either way.

EV's can charge at off peak times and use the excess power. This gives the utilities more money. They could invest this money in their power generation or they could spend this money whining and complaining. The bottom line is their revenue is going to increase which will make their companies worth more money. They do not have to be sleezy.

Of course their profit will sky rocket, if their cost increased by $1 we will pay that $2 or $3. Look at ExonMobil profit from the increased gasoline prices last year, they hit the jackpot!
