There's just something about Megadeth... the first time I heard Metallica, I was like "whoa". The first time I heard "Wake Up Dead", i was like "What on earth is coming out of of these speakers? Do my ears betray me?". That was back in 1986. Megadeth was louder, faster, more pissed off, lyrics were more clever and intellectual. I know Metallica has sold more albums. I like Metallica, but Megadeth for me, is on a whole different level. Thanks for the 1990 version. It's superior imo.
@@fabiomunhozgomes they are much more mainstream than Megadeth so naturally megadeths music won’t be as appealing unless you have already known the metal genre for some time
I don’t even understand how he went about writing it, he’s soloing over a chromatic note progression and it sounds fucking brilliant. Marry was really something else on this album
I was just on a road trip, spotify only has the remaster i got to “Bestow upon me Magic-“ and had to youtube this version immediately. Even my gf who is not picky at all with that kind of shit instantly agreed it was a better choice to switch to this version. The album that needs no remaster because it IS MASTER. Do you know why? Because in this version Dave WAS the master of five magics at least in headspace, that’s where it comes from.
@@Setnochima pretty sure I read somewhere that the audio files for five magics and one more song (can’t remember which one it was) was lost and they had to re-record the vocals all together
Waste Hazey I completely agree. Like some songs sound surprisingly good on the remaster like holy wars..., and tornado of souls, but the tracks where he had to re record the vocals, much less.
I absolutely despise the remastered version of this song!! Vic(I guess that’s supposed to be Vic) had his voice weakened on the remastered version. This is how it should have remained!!
I'm related to the remaster, I didn't know that the voice was re- recorded, I like both, the voice change is not that much noticeable as on These Boots. I think that These Boots should have been re-recorded instead of some songs on RIP.
Why they switched the verses in the remastered ? "Give me sorcery" substituted for "Give me wizardry" ; and "Master all of these" for "Magic if you please" ? That - among other things - really annoys me when I accidentally land on a remastered version.

Why is TH-cam only displaying the number of times I’ve viewed this video?

but Master of Puppets owns Megadeth discography

Megadeth though is a music nerd's wet dream.

Megadeth brings the riffs so much harder

@Aaron Kroll But it's Marty's solo...
@@asukalangleysoryu6695 i think hes talking abt the mustaine one since thats the one where the beginning seems hypnotic (at least for me).
This a sit in the car till its done type of song
I could listen to the bit 4:04-4:45 on loop all day.
Why that part?
@@Setnochima raw powerful vocals, great fucking drum riff, probably just me but i love gallop picking and its just catchy as hell.
4:46 for me
@@Setnochimagallop picking, agressive vocals (especially the demon one), the drums, the riff, everything. Pure thrash Metal.
@@SetnochimaAlso the powerful lyrics ;)
Out of the first 4 songs, by far the best song
Most definitely the best song on the album. What a fucking trip this song is
Hangar 18 for me
One of the worst sins of all time is pausing a Megadeth solo. Change my mind.
pausing this album at all
It’s only to be excused if one is trying to replicate it. Key word *trying*
My brother rip introduced me to this album i introduced it to my son. I dont think it will ever end thats how good it is.
My god I will never stop geeking about this song
Same
HUNTING THE ABYSS LORD on a daily basis since birth has been difficult.
Man what a fun and uncompromising song. I think people in a hundred years will look back and will still be in awe of this incarnation of Megadeth.
Nick Menza is fucking amazing man
Was amazing.. rip nick
Fooking deadly
Man the vocals on the remaster just don't compare to this, even in the unchanged vocals on other songs still don't sound as good as the og.

Always man. They ruin the songs when they remaster them he changed the lyrics too. This is the best version.

This mix was perfect exactly as it was. Why did Dave decide to ruin it with a "remix"?
No matter, I have the original... on vinyl.
So he wouldn’t have to pay out royalties
3:36 i love this part 🔥
Very underrated song
I wish I could “love” this instead of just like it. Uploader is a legend.
Thanks ! I've always prefered the original, especially the vocal part of Take no prisoners, which is way more agressive.
such an amazing album, SO MANY amazing thrash albums, but this is the best out them all
THANK YOU! I'm sick of remasters... :')
"Lead Drums"
The remaster on Spotify is not good in my opinion. Vocals just too loud and it sounds weird. I am listening here instead!
They were recorded on several songs in the remaster. It's a war crime that this version isn't on Spotify
that album is just something else
Although I prefer the instrumentals on the remaster, the vocal tracks are (for the most part) far superior on the original
Waste Hazey I completely agree. Like some songs sound surprisingly good on the remaster like holy wars..., and tornado of souls, but the tracks where he had to re record the vocals, much less.
I disagree, I think the original mix is better for pretty much every single song. To each their own though
The drums on the original are WAY..better and fit the music better, but some of the guitar on the remastered versions sound a little better.
I really don’t like the drums on the remaster
Nothing about the Remastered version is good. Nothing.
Brutal.
This is such a Masterpiece
Based on the Lyndon Hardy book which is also a good read.
Best riff and most enjoyable i ever learnt! (intro) :-D
The solos at the end of this song.
LOVE IT!
3:23 - 4:04 is so fucking cool!
5/4 time for the win!
Holy shit. The drums sound so shit on the remaster😂💀.. here they sound so much better and more natural.

You mean Dave?
It's unfortunate, I much prefer the low pitched vocals on this one.
you mean the dude with the deep voice doing the backing vocals?
Hey man, thanks a lot for uploading. I have the CD but nowhere to play it, and i hate the remastered versions!

I think that These Boots should have been re-recorded instead of some songs on RIP.
I like this one better overall, but the guitars on the remaster are better imo.
Wish they didn't mess with the vocals.
Ahh yes, the crowned jewel of Thrash.....RUST IN PEACE...fawkin stands alone.

"Nick Menza: Lead Drums" ...as opposed to Rhythm Drums?
