Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think where Eugenio was coming from is that Selena Gomez performance wasn’t the greatest and the movie or whatever it is still got awards or got nominated for something. In his eyes, it shouldn’t have gotten that many nominations. which he is correct.

I completely agree with Isis about knowing how to speak Spanish does help you connect with the culture butttttttt I feel like being Mexican American is its own thing in itself because no matter how well my Spanish is I can’t 100% relate or connect with someone who was born and raised in Mexico because the slag and jokes are hard to understand when you don’t live there. Well I’m just speaking from personal experience but yeah.
I agree there is always going to be a disconnect because we will never be able to fully relate to what it means to be fully Mexican. Additionally, many Mexicans discouraged their children from speaking Spanish because it was looked down upon and they feared it would lead their children to be discriminated against!
My dad got a hole in his intestine and almost died from eating so much chile and drinking alot he pretty much created an acid and over time created a massive hole and underwent surgery and rehab be safe isis!
My strange addiction is scratching my ears with cotonetes/nails it’s so bad I’ve literally given myself double ear infections bc I did TOO much and TOOO hard and I literally will make my ears sore and bleed from how much and hard I scratch 😅😅
@Valeriapeaches4 idk what the hype is about her. She said once she was valedictorian of her class. Idk how that happened, because the way she speaks Sheldon's not sound intelligent.

I have not seen the movie that Selena played in but I feel like thats just the way she talks even in english she has no emotion or expressions in her voice. She played murders in the building she just had one tone the whole time. I just dont think acting is the way for her and shes gotta figure that out herself.
