As I see it's quite the same as A400.
I have 70mai A400 and I can't see the plate number in the night if a car is on the opposite way and long distance. Sometimes car pass near me and has 30 40 km speed and I still can't see plate number.
Any advice which dash cam to choose if I want to capture plate number in the night?

Hi Lucian! Yeah capturing license plates is a difficult thing to do for today's dashcams partially due to the current dash cams using a wide angle lens and low frame rate. But also affected by how clean the windshield was, how fast the car passed you, if your car was moving or stationary, how far away the car was, how much light was available, if the license plate was level with your headlights (which blinds the dash cam due to the plate reflectiveness), the condition of the plate your are trying to capture (older plates are much harder to capture) and if the driver had any kind of cover on top of it. Typically high resolution only helps minimally to capture license plates. If the main priority for your dash cam is license plate capture, that is best achieved with a dash cam with narrow lens, scheduled exposure control, and ideally High Frame Rate (which can freeze fast moving objects, potentially allowing you too see more detail in their plates). in FL as hot as these cars get stationary.. not sure if the lithium batteries in these can take the heat.. i prefer the capacitor based ones

Hi K! Ah yes, I think the M300 could be installed to face the cabin, install would identical to what I showed in the video, the only difference is the dash cam would be applied facing the opposite way (with the camera pointing towards the inside of the car instead of the outside). Cheers!

I know a lot of people want to be able to read plates, I just want to record a crash. The head and taillights seem a little overexposed at night. For $35 what can you expect. I drive lease vehicles. This would appear to meet my needs for an inexpensive dash cam. I could leave it in the vehicle at the end of my lease and not worry about losing a lot of money. I wonder if this could also be used in the rear. I would get a front and rear dash cam for $70 with no long hard wire requirements. What are your thoughts on using the obd port for dash cam power?

hello I already have installed 70mai a800s front and rear camera but I also want to install 1 more cam to interior to make it 3 way the sale agent said it's possible if I use 70mai m300, is it possible? I hope you can make a video thanks
