You called the screws clutch head. I have also heard them as butterfly as well I, too, love the originality of the proper screws. You're a purest like me. They are on the floor vent mount handel's and bigger ones on the emergency brake handle braket. Kudos for trying to.keeping it original.

I'm putting a 64 Bel Air steering wheel in my 57 and its very similar except I needed to make a new turn signal cancel cam. Its also a wee bit smaller diameter where it meets the column but fits well otherwise. Same process as you show, thanks for a great "how-to" video!

Those stickers are a riot. That Marathon is the B.C. caveman. And Malco drag raced a 33 Willys that is a classic iconic car. They bring back memories to me. Awesome.

There's them Nomads again , I'd honk and wave for sure if I was going by . Probably I'd be more like a little kid in a candy store and you would have a hard time getting me to go home . When my wife and i was first married. we went to a swap meet and found two emblems of cross flags and 396 TURBO JET in very good condition. Which is what was on my first car. 65 Impala. So we bought them and desplayed them in the dinning room. Now there is the whole car same color and interior in the garage. The power of a little sticker or emblem..... thank you Still got the emblems in the dinning room too.

Hay Don, great that you save these old memorabilia/hot rod stickers. I do the same thing when I see them at swap meets I have to have them, if there old. An I do the same with patches as well. Not to even mention parts. Lol. I've covered my tool boxes an cabinets. Now I believe it's time to put them either on a peg board or a photo album/scrap book. It's amazing just what people throw away. Especially when a loved one passes away. It's like they don't want to keep any of there belongings at all. My youngest brother worked for a moving/cleaning company an you wouldn't believe what all he would bring home that the people didn't want anymore. Cool video on the steering wheel horn install and the old speed stickers . i have a 57 wheel and a 210 center cap but im missing the horn ring for it . 59 and 60 impala are my favorite factory steering wheel i put a 61 impala wheel in my 56 belair and the horn trim matches with the 56 belair dash trim.

Hey Don, You should be able to adjust the outer tube of the column by loosing the lower clamp bracket. I know I had to mess with one of my ole 57 but really don't remember exactly what I had to do (it was 40 years ago) lol. I know that there is a adjustable part to move the shaft/tube some. Those ole stickers are really cool. Only a real car guy would understand why you saved them. Guess what? I understand, lol. I save all kinds of old shit like them too.I used to have a bunch of stuff like that too but a lot of them got (lost) when my x and I broke up. Oh well thanks for sharing. Maybe take a old mirror of stainless plate of some kind and put the stickers on and hang it up in the garage. Later buddy

Hey Don, I’m pretty sure you can take up the gap in that steering wheel by loosening a couple of nuts around the steering column by the firewall under the hood, and two nuts on the steering column bracket inside the car . Then you pull up on the column . I might be wrong , but check it out. Take care friend , Merry Christmas.M👀k

Just got a 57 Chevrolet station wagon 4 door, going to redo her with my sons! We have 65 fotd falcon,55 Chevrolet belair, 54 Chevrolet belair, 62 Chevrolet pickup, and now 57 Chevrolet station wagon.... ! What do with the stickers, frame them in one big frame! 👍😎
Hey Don another great video man, i think you can slide just the column tube back if you loosen up that bracket outside on the firewall that is holding the tube. Loosen it up and the other brackets on the tube and you should be able to slide it back just a bit. Love those stickers, you should put all of them in some kind of scrap book. Walker Blue Swingers were much better sounding than Cherry bombs , had several cars with them . The Marathon gas fella was from the old B.C. comic strip , as for Fenton wheels , I still have my old Fenton Gyro Racing Wheels stashed away waiting for me to decide which car to put them on . 15x3 1/2 fronts , 15x11 rears just don't fit on many cars without "assistance" shall we say .
Hey Bob! That's pretty cool what you say about the Blue Swingers been a long time since ive heard them. Cherry bombs and the Thrush mufflers were very popular in the 60s and 70s. I like the Fenton Gryo Wheels you have there great sizes front and rear. Your right they need some assistance to fit but not do they look good when there fitted. Have a good one Buddy 👍

Hey 1, That's cool its a Character from the B.C. Comic! All the cool stuff was made years ago! Im sure you could make a 57 Chevy Belair dash work in a 57 Chevy Pickup. I can get you measurements of the width and depth might help you make a determination. I remember when i was little I would but stickers on everything also. You should find a nice piece of wood to make a table top and spread out the stickers that you really like all over the table a collage in french then get some fiberglass resin and pour it over the table let it dry it'll look great

Those stickers would do good to get a large picture frame from like, Hobby Lobby or the dreaded Wal-Mart scene! You can slide the column up. Should be at least a 1/8 inch gap. I just did it on my 56 Bel Air 4drsd

Hey Don another great video man, i think you can slide just the column tube back if you loosen up that bracket outside on the firewall that is holding the tube. Loosen it up and the other brackets on the tube and you should be able to slide it back just a bit. Love those stickers, you should put all of them in some kind of scrap book. Walker Blue Swingers were much better sounding than Cherry bombs , had several cars with them . The Marathon gas fella was from the old B.C. comic strip , as for Fenton wheels , I still have my old Fenton Gyro Racing Wheels stashed away waiting for me to decide which car to put them on . 15x3 1/2 fronts , 15x11 rears just don't fit on many cars without "assistance" shall we say .
Hey Bob! That's pretty cool what you say about the Blue Swingers been a long time since ive heard them. Cherry bombs and the Thrush mufflers were very popular in the 60s and 70s. I like the Fenton Gryo Wheels you have there great sizes front and rear. Your right they need some assistance to fit but not do they look good when there fitted. Have a good one Buddy 👍

I can get you measurements of the width and depth might help you make a determination. I remember when i was little I would but stickers on everything also. Thanks Cody! Do you have the flat metal disc and the plastic disc? There is also a plastic ring that the screws go through! You got to put them in the right order or the horn ring will be lose! Later man✌️

You should find a nice piece of wood to make a table top and spread out the stickers that you really like all over the table a collage in french then get some fiberglass resin and pour it over the table let it dry it'll look great

Those stickers would do good to get a large picture frame from like, Hobby Lobby or the dreaded Wal-Mart scene! Take the stickers and lay them in place, put the "glass" over it and frame it like a collage overlapping the ones that may have tears or missing pieces... Know what I mean?
