I cannot seem to find EXACTLY what AAA covers with travel insurance. I know Trip cancellations baggage etc. but there is a sneaky term in the offerings that says "due to a covered reason " Impossible to discover what those "covered reasons are." Being what legalese is these days, I'm very concerned this issue is not addressed anywhere that I can find! So how do you research the things covered in an insurance policy? All I can find are broad statements. You don’t get to review the actual policy until AFTER you buy it. Incidentally, I’m a professional researcher. Google is making it impossible to find information, searches are just bloated with ads. Good video. I learned few things that I need to consider.

Interesting view on different aspects.. I can say for myself, that I travel with my Mastercard Gold insurance, and I travel quite much, and I have had to use the Insurance 3 times while travelling in Asia (2 times with regarding some hospital costs, and 1 time with lost baggage), and all the times there have been not 1 single issue with that kind of insurance.. I dont know if the different banks have different kind of insurances on their cards, but I can just say that mine is gold worth as the name goes :)
In Ireland the deductible is called the excess , I took out travel insurance for my last holiday and l had my phone stolen unfortunately l did not read the travel insurance policy booklet and for some silly reason thought l could just claim but you have to go get a police report before you leave that country in other to be covered. So always read the fine print and how and what you need to claim before you go just in case.

Always great information and content. I always purchase travel insurance but I forgot about obtaining and keeping all the receipts. As well as Dr. reports etc. looking forward to more on the 4 categories. Thank you.

@@PortableProfessional I see if you have a comprehensive policy your covered for everything. Why wouldn't bring extra careful with your travel insurance be an all round good thing to do.
I wanted to travel to Egypt in a few weeks, I don't have any type of Insurance but it seems that I need Travel Insurance to travel to Egypt. Can I pay for Travel Insurance for the duration of my travel? Will that be enough to join the country? if so, where can I buy an acceptable insurance to travel to Egypt.
Awesome if you have a good plan with your card! I used to think I had it with my card, but turns out to be very limited with most credit cards when you look into the details.
@@PortableProfessional The coverage I have is neither good nor poor. I feel only one item which is emergency sickness/injury protection is a little bit insufficient. But I do not need an excellent coverage unless I need to have a big surgery while traveling. What is the odd of having a big surgery while traveling? Almost never! I have never had an emergency surgery in my life. The other items are good enough. I probably do not need them anyway.

I'd think most people should go with comprehensive Travel insurance to cover everything.
