Big missed opportunity to ask Dr. Acula about the girl's medication, whether it needed a perscription, how tough it is to buy, whether it is available at many places, etc...

It was a pretty good session, though I feel the Keeper could have done a better job of keeping the group on track.
Introducing suspicious-looking "skinheads" at the church merely served to play out the keeper's own biases and confuse the players further by giving them more false leads when they were already struggling to find a good direction to follow.
If time is of the essence, I don't understand why one would introduce another variable that doesn't further the story or the investigation.
That said, the characters seemed pretty well fleshed out, and the NPCs were played out in a very interesting manner. Great job overall!

The evidence side of this is weak, must be the modules issues. Well worth putting definitive answers in the game unless you want the cops to look like buffoons. "Various acute diseases" just name one.

50:00 this is not how us cops think. The events are f'd up but the case was a missing girl. There was no direct link bn the group or event other than theology. I mean i get the facination but weak link.to the actual case

Our mistake was trying to cram this into two sessions. It should have been longer.
Into the Darkness, the scenario went great! One thing happened in our session that was kind of interesting, when my player knew the names of the suspects the first thing they did was check out their social media profiles. It made me think of what a great prop would be if I had made a fake Facebook account previously...
Yes, we thought about doing that too but realized that there may be other people playing this scenario and it may cause confusion; GMs love to change some of the details to match their style.
Uh cleveland is not below the mason dixon.......not southern state........so how is his discription of the church as a 'small southern church' accurate.
Maybe it looks like a southern church?
Maybe he has just seen Kingsmen too many times. Or maybe he'll have the next session in an Irish Pub, and they'll all be plotting to blow up Buckingham Palace. Or they'll find out the local Bankers are conniving to make everyone default on their loans so they will end up owning all the property in Cleveland... Muahahaha!

We used to have an app that did the rolling, but it no longer functions. So, now its just on the honor system.

Yes, unfortunately is was used as a filler game and required we cram it into 2 episodes...it should have had 4-6 episodes. We have learned our lesson and wont make the same mistake.

Wow. Bigoted much? Been to a lot of small southern churches, have you? I realize games and such rely a lot on tropes and stereotypes... You stick them in there like you wanted to use them as either a clue, or a red herring. Then you just drop a "of _course_ there are skinheads. _Any_ Southern Church in Cleveland would have them." You could have had the doomsday church attracting all kinds of people, but no.
Um, they are running a published adventure, and it is mentioned that this isn't a normal group, but a cult. The book specifically mentions it attracts alt-right, extremists, and neo-Nazi types because of the cult's anti-government and doomsday focus. It does serve as a clue that the church isn't a wholesome innocent one but is secretly a cult and is fine that some of their members are extremists. Sometimes players latch onto small pieces of details and turn them into red herrings, that's just how games play out sometimes.

Was there really a need for the dick measuring contest at the beginning? I'm sure the detectives, having already worked with the police in the past as laid out by the Lt., would already know their place within the investigation. It just seemed petty to me for the Keeper to bring it up. Maybe do that kinda character nuetering off screen during prep. Sorry if I seem harsh, but it really seemed off.
