@@horse-lover68 what I've read is gastrointestinal disease. There was this rumour from a whistleblower worker (I think?) that it's due to a serious aggression when they've locked all orcas in the same pool for what ever reason.
It really depends on Amaya and what she feels like doing. In no way are they forcing her, or any of the other orcas in her pod, to do anything they dont WANT to do. Just like in her own healthcare, She was the one to decide what SHE wanted to do, and she was rewarded quite well when she did what was asked of her. If she didn't/did it wrong, the behavior would be ignored and they would give her a 3 second pause and if she came back to her trainer with a positive attitude, she would still be rewarded with whatever she wanted.
It depends on the Orca itself. Once they are born, the mother and Calf will be allowed to take the time to bond/get to know each other and then the mom or the calf will be like "Oh, hey, I wanna interact with you, you're a lot of fun!" or whatever. Because Kalia has a strong relationship with her behaviorists, she was willing to allow them to interact with baby Amaya sooner. Kalia was nervous because this was her first and only calf, so her behaviorists blocked a section off of the underwater viewing so Kalia wouldnt get upset. Thankfully, her behavorists were still allowed to bond with Kalia AND little Amaya once she knew her baby wouldn't be harmed in any way.
I love that part where the trainer hides for Amaya
I miss me seeing amaya is there going to be another amaya
I hope so kalia
I very much doubt it.
Are you doing work IN the water with the orca's or is that really over??
When Dawn from SeaWorld Orlando died because of Tilikum the Orca, they really and truly ended all waterwork sessions.
Sadly she's passed, just 6yrs old💔.
Wow, why?? What happened??
