I was thinking it would be better if it was heated a little more then whipped on a cold surface to help set the bubbles quicker.... Maybe help the texture to be a little more crumbly like "traditional" hash.

It was sticky and unhandleable and I wanted to use it with the bong and flower like hash so I did this to make it touchable by hand like hash. I wouldn't say this adds any value to the product

This is the fourth video on TH-cam I’ve clicked on titled about cold curing that doesn’t have anything to do with a proper cold curing process whatsoever…
This isn’t cold curing, it takes a few weeks in a cold room to officially cold cure it. If it stays that stable when it’s room temp then it could be a good way to harden it to handle but I wouldn’t call it cold curing lol
The cold cure can be done anywhere between room temp and refrigerator 40-70 degrees. The "cold cure" is only called cold because it's not involving heat to cure, as for rosin jam or even heat to budder it faster. It dosent actually have to be refrigerated or cold room to be cold cure. The time can also very from person to person. It's not some set of rules that need followed exactly.
It didn't really cure the rosin. The rosin doesn't stick because it is fresh out of the fridge. Once cured the rosin looses all transparency and is crumbly or sugary. I would recommend simply taking the rosin after the first whip, keep it in the jar and cure it at room temp until the texture changes to a hash like consistency. This video does not show how to cure into a hash like consistency, that looks like fresh press or shatter not hash no offense. I like the video idea
Rosin is never decarbed before sale. People assume it's decarbed from the process of making it but that's just not true. You don't absolutely need to decarb but I find it helps a lot.

Not gonna lie man. This is pretty pointless tech. Real cold curing is something I truly respect. This is kinda bull man. And if you had any respect as an educator you would either revamp this video for something that serves a purpose. Even if what you are trying to do is just make it less sticky, you can achieve this by just not doing anything you had done and let time and nature just cure it to the same exact degree as your final product. Just takes 24hours and no other BS.
Many people in many places cannot get quality materials and need tutorials for the low quality stuff they end up with. Black rosin is nasty and this really helps make it more hashlike. What would you suggest I rename it to?

Almost like reclaim. And it would have been nice to be able to play and snap it. If anything it would have been nice to just see you snap it or tear it so we can know if it was just cold enough to manage or if it actually changed the overall consistency because that would be the only thing that is confusing. Not just top shelf quality but super fresh! Thats how to get rosin to look like a stick of butter. Also strain and grower depending but the top grade fresh will more than not give super light color.
Best bet is to buy a Nug crusher. Google it . Real pure way. Otherwise I wash my herb with 99.99% isopropyl alcohol for 30 seconds or less . This way you don't extract a lot of chlorophyll (which will make it darker). Then you need to make or buy a vacuum purger , which gets rid of (purges) any remnant alcohol and hardens your product.
I have a bowl of some bho amd filters amd proper syringes now, was wondering what temp would u suggest if I wanted to filter it as well as ensure any toxins that can evaporate off. Idk it was given to me it can definitely be filtered down to see what's what but as of now u get the occasional piece of hair or silicone (which is the worst taste of burnt plastic) anyway I was gna go full decarb temp amd then use a big syringe get as much as I can amd start filtering possibly using a hairdryer or something to keep the heat on... I'm out of terpenes so I dnt know wtf ima do for my next carts

I'm basically bringing air in and purposefully oxidizing it slightly, as well as removing some of the more volatile and sticky terpenes to make it less sticky at room temperature
I was intentially trying to oxidize it a little. Normally I wouldn't either but for this purpose of rapid aging to change texture a quick whip was neccessary.

A trick I have learned is to put you dab tool in a drill. It gets it whipped so much faster and I can get my dabs much lighter than by hand whipping.
At the end it was just cold that’s why it didn’t stick bro

This is purposely oxidizing it so that it loses some terps and becomes less sticky and easier to handle.

Only if you want to eat it. Burning or vaping decarbs live.
Decarbing for vapes can help lower viscosity as well

Quality in is quality out. Theres no secret technique it's all just your flower or hash source, how old it is, how well it was grown, etc.

Hash is made up of plant material . Extracts should be a viscous oil or resin rosin etc.
Yes that's the point of this video, making it not viscous oil.
Wrong you dont want any plant material if possible in your hash. All you want is tric heads to gst get that full melt effect
