Cobra Kai review coming Saturday morning!
*SPOILERS* It's aweeesome!!!!
Some of the worst writing I've ever seen in a movie, I don't know how they came up with the utter nonsense and idiotic bad guys in this movie. A kid in middle school could write a script that makes more sense.
Pretty bad movie, but Miyagi's always fun and at least it didn't get boring. But it's hard to believe something this amateur could come from a major movie studio.
I felt like they did not really need the love interest. Instead they could have added more right scenes with Swank and the bullies
I only saw it once and it was enough, but was Daniel even mentioned in this one?
Imagine if they brought Hilary swank character in cobra Kai to fight Mike Barnes
I'd love to see that
What I found bad about the film was the ending, like there wasn’t even closure for all of the main characters
I really enjoy them more because of Miyagi. I actually watched a movie a few weeks ago with him and Jay Leno and really didn't think of him as a comedian. After his passing I read a lot on his bio and he seemed like a various generous man...It's also funny how he doesn't have a foreign accent either. I enjoyed small aspects of it. I'd wish we had more references to Daniel. I can't imagine Miyagi spending all that time with Daniel and then he really doesn't mention him all that much in the film. The bond they had it's not something you can just write off and I think having that in the movie a few times would have made it better for me. I also found it strange that he taught her moves that he didn't teach Daniel. I get they're different characters and every student is different, but coming from experiences...most students you teach the same, especially if it's a system that works.
Again great review...Like your work. I watched most of the Cobra Kai, so I'll save my comments for that video.
Yup, Morita started out as a comedian. He was born in the US hence the lack of accent.
I remember enjoying movie for what it was back when i was a kid. Now as a adult, I realize the substance is just isn't there for adults to chew on, but i will say it's still a time capsule of the times.
She gets better in the middle of the movie
I'm glad you suffered through this movie so we don't have to. :-D
My...pleasure? lol
Agreed, but it's still more enjoyable than the Remake - Despite Jackie Chan.
I still hate that the remake is called The Karate Kid even though they do Kung Fu
This was the one film I had never seen and I gave it a chance but it didn't pan out like thought it would. It was great to see Pat Morita again and he tried but this film didn't do it. It was a nice try but it just didn't work like I thought as well
I didn't think the film was terrible but it definitely was the worst out of the 4
The reviews are better than the movie
i watched this review before watching his review of Karate Kid Part III.

Agreed on all points bro!
Mediocre film, with some great parts and some horrible parts. Pat Morita is always great =)
Shockingly bad film , it's so poor and painful ,real rubbish.
I skipped ahead to the end of this one. And wished I skipped the whole thing. Oh well.
Thanks Mr Mercy.
Haha, hope you mean to the end of the movie and not the review! :D
