Love your videos…you’re both real and funny! I like to make my own herbally infused hair products…try black seed oil on your edges…I habitually scratch my head in the same spot when bored, tired, stressed…so my hair has tiny balding spots in those two places…I used my own products which has black seed oil, but also just plain black seed oil, and it grows it back.

My hair is high porosity, 4a, color treated, fine strands. I have a few gels for different hair styles; for my hair aunt jackies its like a multi purpose gel such as, good for low buns and wash n go. I don't even need edge control. Give me nice shine and mix well with my primer for hair.

I’m new to the Shady Shay crew and chiiiile you be crackin’ me up!! I hollered when you said Eazy E!! Your hair looks goooodt with middle or side part. You can rock both. It came out beautifully. I know it’s kind of weird comparing a creme to a gel but which product do you like the best, curl la la or don’t shrink?
Ohh yeah..come with the story times!!!

Thank you so much for your support!!!!!! I really appreciate it. I be laughing at my own self when I do these voice overs lol. To answer your question.... So far I like the Don't Shrink better. I was able to go longer without touching my hair with that product. I will play with Cream la la some more to see what products work well with it to make my wash n go's last longer.

The absolute best product for edges (we called them baby waves growing up) is Bed Head for Men’s Pure Texture Molding Paste. I’ve used it for many years and started when i ran out of whatever i used before and used his stuff. It holds better than any edge gel I’ve tried, and I’ve tried a lot. Many of those edge gels have oils, which isn’t good if you want hold. This isn’t an “edge” product but it gets the job done.

Lady, you make my day! I started following Curly Proverbz and NowIAmNappy, who promote Ayurvedic solutions. I lost hair due to PCOS, severe iron anemia, hysterectomy/ hormonal issues. I began using the Amla/fenugreek/henna masks with rosemary, peppermint, lavender essential oils, and my edges are coming back. Not as full as I like but it’s only been a year. I have shorter edges. I also implement scalp massaging with those DHT blocking oils

    • @Shady_Shay

😂😂😂😂 Omg I need to follow those ladies. Everything you named I have except for PCOS. I just recently had an hysterectomy and im def low on iron. I eat ice like its going out of style. lol I never thought that, that could also be the reasons why my edges are gone. Thank you so much for commenting and letting me know.

How does this worked with mixed hair? My son’s hair is long thin and curly after I do his routine in the morning. Starts off long and low hanging. Then by the end of a school day it’s extra wide and thick. Trying to find something to maintain that for longer. He, like most biracial kids has multiple different curl types

    • @Shady_Shay

I would say try mixing this product with Xtreme gel for extra hold and use the pineapple method every night when he goes to bed along with a satin bonnet or scarf. My suggestion for your edges is to mainly do nightly scalp massages & drink lots of water..
There is no magical product that’s going to grow them!!
But the massages will promote blood flow that will try to promote growth!
And yea, lay off the gel on them.. keep the scalp there clean!
