- Did I make this entire video to justify pretending to be the rookie? Yes. Do I genuinely recommend it? Also yes.
I feel like the feel of the maps in tarkov is generally overlooked by other content creators who are far more focused on min maxing success so I figured I'd make a small love letter to the little details. I don't think I'll make another video like this but I hope you enjoyed. Next week is armor stereotypes so be sure to leave any you have in the comments with #stereotype to make it easier to find. Nighttime Streets is what I think Tarkov should feel like: scurrying around, trying to hit obscure objectives, ears strained trying to avoid danger around every corner.
It's also properly lit once the streetlights come on. Took them a few patches, but it's one of the only maps you can navigate without NVG and not instantly die.

Yeah sure the daytime pvp complains are true, but crouching near a ledge and role playing as a gargoyle looks kinda fun

Dusk/Midnight Streets does give me that Halo 3 ODST vibe and I absolutely love it.
Solo Night streets in the rain is Tarkov at its peak. Even better early wipe when no one has night vision. Atmosphere always gave me those ODST vibes.
Love the rain maps, regardless of map!

2:12 the russian MON-50 (soviet claymore copy) are actually used with seismic sensors using a VP-13 kit and SV-20P geophone to detect movement.

The mannequin room he is talking about is in the new portion of the map next to Concordia. I wish streets had cultists spawns because if they spawned in that apartment it would be so perfect
Hearing difference for darkness really drove that moment home and felt great to see it really encapsulated the vibe of streets at night!
I mean - as a duo, we enjoyed day time streets a lot. Quests that have multiple spawns, how big it is and that it feels to me as customs (fav map) but bigger. Absolutely love it. Haven't tried night yet tho

MP7 with the 2x optic and suppressor, ULACH helmet, THOR/Hexgrid/Slick (all armors&helmets are black), Thunderbolt/Triton/Bank robber for rig, Pillbox or Day pack for a Bag.

Q: What are you studying? I've heard you mention having assignments and deadlines and such in previous videos... just curious what you're working toward. Also do you think you'll stick with content creation after your degree is said and done and you get to start on your career path in your field?
As a student myself I struggle to juggle school everything else in life on top of choosing to play a game as dense as Tarkov -- I couldn't imagine putting extra work into making videos at the pace you do on top of that. Your uploads are always an instant-watch and I appreciate the no-filter opinions you bring into the community!
This man, this man is one of my favorite Tarkov creators.
The ODST vibe is something I went for in reserve and while it did work somewhat, once streets released I never looked back. It's perfect.

Those two pigs is probably reference to a russian youtuber Dmitriy Puchkov aka Goblin. Also Klimov street probably got it name from Puchkov's friend on his channel Klim Zhukov
I'm probably giving BSG too much credit but it could be a reference to Elemi Klimov, a Russian director most famous for an antiwar masterpiece.
My 1st wipe was last wipe when streets was introduced. It was honestly a noobie paradise because everyone hated the map and there was tons of loot. It's definitely a different place this wipe with some of my "safe" areas becoming hotspots.

As a solo player, i only play streets during the night. It is more of a survival mode because the map is so big and messy and there are so many quests I need to do that it usually takes me 40 minutes to navigate, so it adds up to the tension
That music when you showed nighttime, reminded me of Red Effect (tank history nerd on youtube) right away, beautiful shot + bonus points from the flashback
Dude has found the map that makes him feel the utter vibe of tarkovs maps. Interchange does that for me. Which is awkward when there are a half dozen psycho's in there with you desperately looking for a man in a tracksuit.
The whole game makes me feel like day streets makes you feel. But I've been feeling the lone survivor ODST rookie vibe since I started playing.
Really just makes me so hype for STALKER 2 so I have somewhere I can get the same atmosphere without having to undertake counciling for the PVP trauma.
I hope the original devs are on stalker 2! No game has surpassed that atmosphere yet. Indies ftw
I'm really glad Arena is coming to Tarkov, mostly because PvP is a side-affect of the intention behind Raids whereas Arena will be purely PvP for when you just want to tap heads (or more likely get head-eyed yourself).

I am just now learning Streets on my own. I really like it so far BUT you mentioned the one thing that sucks ass the most… INVISIBLE MINES AT LEXOS. I opened the side door from the grocery store with a bitcoin and a graphics card plus some other solid loot including a 7.62 MDR, basically a full kit and some solid loot… only to instantly be obliterated by an invisible claymore I didn’t know was there. I know it’s part of the experience learning sometimes… but come on, man! It wasn’t a skill issue or a situation where I got outplayed by a better player… but an invisible freaking mine 😭😭 oh and a green battery.
Claymores can be triggered by an electrical signal sent by movement sensors, just like your garage lights. Keep in mind that consumes some power so either they replace batteries or connect the to the electrical grid. Hope that explains the "magic" claymores but bosses ain't that dumb 😂

I'm on my first wipe and I did a daytime streets raid, got crushed, and then made it my mission to learn every single inch of that map. I'm not saying I'm a good streets player, or even a good player, but it is one of my best maps. And I enjoy daytime because of the chaos but my best games have indeed been night.
since this map has launched ive played solo night with ODST soundtrack.. im glad to see im not the only one.

well, was runnin streets for test drive part 2. got pinned in lexos office by players scavs. got 6 of them and last 2 just ratted me. ty bsg for mines and closed doors

I think the real painful thing about streets is the insane amount of bug spots this map was no where near being finished from what ive seen alot still work such as being able to get ontop of terragroup security key and kill people through the roof
Customs is my favourite map too. Im not too good yet and customs i have alot of success on. Its a straight forward map

I love streets and yes I exclusively almost always play at night as well. The map is just dripping with so much character and story in every single little nook and cranny, I still feel like I'm discovering new areas of the map every week
Hows its performance now?
I mean I average 60 fps with a few dips when moving into new areas. Personally I don't mind that because as he states in the video, PVP with actual players isn't that common at night.@@AceMyHigh
yeah I recently discovered the mannequin room, opens door gets a big jump scare, walks in and looks to the right, another jump scare haha
I love extract camping Klimov street since sometimes the animals who kill Kaban extract there
Streets at night with nothing but a .357 with FMJ's and a dream, the most fun I've had in Tarkov in a while. You need money? Streets at night. You need XP? Streets at night. You want chaos and fighting, Streets at daytime.
I've had a period of time during this wipe where I would just run my Scav on Streets, extract and the go right back in with my PMC rocking the Scav gear, repaired and slightly pimped out. You spend nothing for it but gain money and XP. Great for leveling too, since you'll just about always spend half the raid overweight.
This is the kind of map a Timmy can break out of his shell and gradually build up confidence.

Lectivious what is your favorite Tarkov gun right now?
THIS is one of the primary reasons i enjoy PvE so much. It allows me to play that left behind soldier playstyle, playing more slowly, creeping along and taking in the map. I dont have to worry about meta or anything like that. Completely different game. No hate on PvP, just saying whats cool about PvE

Just got into the part of this wipe where I have a bunch of quests here. I just got back late last wipe, played last when streets came out. It's laggy, I have no idea where anything is so my next game session is gonna be hell for me
Going through the map slowly is how you progress through it during the day time too. Streets is easily my favorite map day or night. You can either push pvp or just stay out the way and loot. After 15 minutes usually all the chads are dead or gone. Just don’t go sprinting around everywhere. If you’re not crossing a street or in a spot with a lot of windows walking is your best bet. I literally hit lvl 3 traders and quit questing and just play streets.

I wish/hope that they add some form of fuse box to turn off the streetlights in a specific area of the map. Cause I love the map at night, but only at that very specific time when its dark, but the street lights arent on. Then this map is 11/10 for me. But once they are on, its basically day time again on 70% of the map...
how does a war torn city still have completly functioning streetlights? Didnt some sort of EMP explode which is why we see all these cars that dont work anymore? Why is every single street light still 100% functional. I dont mind shooting out lights but I would need to pack an extra 100 rounds of shit ammo every raid just to shoot out the just absolutely stupid ammount if still working lights in the city.

Not really that big into PvP myself. It’s still fun when it happens but I just don’t go looking for it. Streets is cool because I like traversing the map by going through the buildings when I can. I can also avoid pvp easily like woods, my favorite map. I do think that the scav spawn rate could be brought down a little bit but I also like that it has that high of a spawn rate. Some Scavs, however, feel like they just came halfway across the map to kill you after you downed 15 of them.
