- Despite having brunch at Lamplight Lounge in the last episode we now head off for lunch at Storyteller Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel. It's a buffet with characters!
We get a booth! And we get to have our best very interaction with Pluto. Mickey Mouse tells us about his trip to Paradise Falls, Minnie almost has fisticuffs with a chipmunk, and Chip N Dale show off their badges!
Afterwards we head off to the Monster Inc ride - Mike and Sulley to the Rescue - and ride a cab through their adventure. Finally a bit of shopping where we take quick look at dresses - yes, really!

On this trip we flew BA Club World from Heathrow to Los Angeles [LHR to LAX] for Christmas and we stayed at the BLVD Hotel & Suites in Hollywood for five nights before heading down to Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel in Disneyland, Anaheim, for four nights.
We got an amazing bargain using our companion voucher from our BA American Express credit card. The flights cost £900 in total. For both of us. Flying BA Business Class.
Who could say 'no' to that?
Whilst in Hollywood we went on a Universal Studios Hollywood VIP tour; visited the huge and incredible Funko Hollywood store; mooched around Warner Bros on their studio tour; went to the Disney Studio Store Hollywood in search of pins; as well as our usual supermarket fun. On this trip not only do we go to Target but we also go to Ralphs.
On our drive down to Disneyland we stopped off at the oldest working McDonald's in the world - more about that in a bit - and then enjoyed 5 days of magic in the happiest place on earth: Disneyland.
We have been to Disneyland before but this is our first attempt at vlogging there.
You'll see our room tour of Paradise Pier Hotel and we'll take you into both Disneyland Park and Disney's California Adventure. We'll show you the merch on offer and the rides that we go on. As usual there will be lots of screams.
We usually film on a GoPro Hero 7 Black, but for this trip we have upgraded to the GoPro Hero 8 Black. Looking back at the footage there are a few things we need to adjust before our next trip, but hey, you live and learn!

Why does everyone squat for character photos? The chefs are always happy to help you out, so definitely shouldn’t be afraid to ask.

Hi guys, ooh I'm all behind ( no comments 😂😂 thank you lol ) but I'm here now! Oh wow, these character meets at Storyteller's are amazing! And you guys ALWAYS have incredible interactions whoever you meet in any of the parks or restaurants! Can't believe that little kid calling Pluto , Goofy!!! Best of it was , the mother didn't say anything at all! I'd been mortified if that was my kid not knowing the difference! 😱😶Lol XX
That kid was hilarious - and Pluto's reaction to David telling the girl was wonderful. How great were the characters this day? They were on top form and we loved every minute of it. Hope you had a better half of the week dear Debbie. And hope next week is better! x

How awesome was that Chef! And he delivered it himself. 👌🏻 👌🏻 👌🏻 That miserable guy who didn’t want to wait for a table and said the food was shit was obviously going to have a bad day whatever he did.
The meat Ian picked up looked incredible however the mash looked absolutely sick.... and I don’t mean that in a good way. 🤢 Wallpaper paste comes to mind 😆

It was quite vomity mash, but it tasted great! And we always feel awkward with characters. Always. We totally get verbal diarrhoea and you may notice that we pretty much say the same thing every time! 🖤🖤
I've just discovered you guys through my bff, and I just gotta tell you, I find you both to be such a delight to watch!! You play off each other nicely and seem to have a genuine love for each other, its refreshing. I especially love your character interactions, as I always feel a bit awkward and not quite sure what to say lol! Well hello and welcome! And that’s such a lovely comment. Really pleased that you found us and that you’re enjoying watching! We’re just doing what we do so it’s nice that lovely people like yourself seem to find it fun too.
We do have a lot of fun and really enjoy our trips and love one another’s company, so the good news is that, at least for now, we have no plans on stopping.
We hope you continue to enjoy us and please give your bff a thank you for persuading you to take a chance on us as we’re aware that spare time is often few and far between in peoples’ busy lives.

Ha! It was definitely one of our most favourite sets of interactions ever. The characters were really up for it, and the case of mistaken identity was the icing on the cake. We soooo loved it - glad you enjoyed it too!

Why do people do that weird poo squat when they have photos with characters?
Hope you realize you can sit where you want in any restaurant , not where they want to sit you . You just ask for a booth and they will move you , American service is great. But Brits tend to not ask for what they want or tell them how the food really is ;-)
Most Disney Restaurants have a plan on where they are going to seat us and don't want to allocate us a table for 4 when it's just the two of us. We get it. So the booth was a delightful surprise!
And it was perfect for the characters too.
Mr David & Mr Ian . Ahhh now I see , as a Disney Dining plan virgin I was not aware of the assigned seating , my apologies. Yes a lovely surprise for both of you and Goofy :-).
