I've been cooking for many years in large qty, but I haven't done the homemade mac & cheese before. This was an awesome tutorial! Thanks for taking the time to do it. God's joy to you!
This recipe looks crazy, man. I love mac and cheese. I have been trying different methods of cooking it since I was 15. Gonna try this one this weekend - looks great!
Schools make the best mac and cheese. If adding bacon grease, it is good to give people a heads up it contains pork so they're aware, as I doubt anyone expects it in their mac and cheese. Our school is usually pretty good at listing ingredients so we know which days are PBJ's or Sun Butter option days.
I make my Mac and Cheese similar to yours but I just make it for my family. I just got a catering GIG so I needed to know how to cater to more people. Thank you for your tutorial. Much appreciated.
Your an excellent speaker and I appreciate your video. You don’t assume we know the little things. I’m 49 and I never knew white pepper was for white sauce. Never thought about it! 👍😁
Listen...this is great. I am a college student and I love this. I volunteer in the inner city and raise funds for scholarships. This MAC. Whuttttt… I am going to use this for sure. Nick
Would love to no who your cooking teacher was as I am a cook myself but I see in this video you are using a few to many short cuts and marking extra work for yourself in making this dish
Thank you Natalie! This is perfect when it’s my turn to cook a meal for our high school son’s Civil Air Patrol’s meal night!!! Keep the recipes....you are a Godsend!
One to one butter and flour is a common misconception - it's really like 3:4 flour to butter. I LOVED the onion/fresh thyme technique - I'm definitely gonna try that. Also, try 60% whole milk, 40% heavy cream.
Thanks for sharing your video, I found it to very helpful and I plan on using it on my first catering event this summer. I search the web for mac and cheese recipes your instructions and personalilty won me over. Again thanks for sharing.
Steven Johnson I agree. I fell in love with her as soon as she opened her mouth. I felt like I was standing right there. I absolutely love that she explains why to add this or that and what you want to be cautious of. I've shared recipes with friends and family for years and what aggravates me most with them is when they say "I followed your recipe to the T and it didn't taste or look like yours". When you ask them if they also followed the instructions to a T they say..."No, that's too much work and I'm not as nitpicky as you are"! And I tell them if they want to keep being disappointed and embarrassed by the turnout then by all means continue dumping everything in at once and praying for a miracle. That's is exactly why this tutorial is to the 9's...you cant ask for a better lesson than this one. Perfection!
OH I LOVE this Woman... She is a Doll... and a great Chef... My Mac n Cheese is so Boring compared to hers... Thank You so much for sharing this precious lady. What State is she from? Here in New Mexico... (Southern) cook like this... well, maybe not this good... but we do have Hatch Green Chile... LOL
I really enjoyed your video tutorial. It was very well presented and very informative. In addition, your mac looked very tasty and delicious. I thank you for sharing. May you stay blessed.
Excellent Nathalie, just got my arm (pinky, actually) twisted to volunteer to cook at a church soup kitchen. Have a questions on making it in advance & heating it up the next day from the reefer. I believe I should hold off on the panko until I am ready to cook it?
Thank you for sharing , you did a awesome job I enjoyed watching . please post more of your recipes .... please over look the haters with there remarks your gonna get at least one or two 😣
Nice... I make my cheese sauce w/ just milk n melt my 8 cheeses n it... I have added Nutmeg b4, not bad but I never did it again lol --- Great tutorial 😊
Is that the Emeril version of the All-Clad pot? I have that set and LOVE it. Thanks for the vid. I am not a professional chef and am having a hard time scaling some of the sides for a barbecue restaurant we're opening.
Thank u. I'm making mac and cheese for 15 people so Imma make two pans. I'm nervous. I've only ever cooked for me and my husband lol. This vid should help me out.
Thanks so much! So sorry for the confusion. At the tail end of the video you’ll see that we’ve indicated that the recipe needs to be tripled. However, we’ll update the recipe and add it to the description box.
Natalie trying to break it down to cook for 10, because not to many people cook for 100. So please can u do for average size like 10. Natalie it turned out great like u said stirring main ingredient. Thank u so much Kiddo!!!
So the first batch got 2/3 of the béchamel and the second batch got like 1/3 but then you say this is 1/3 of the total for a hundred. Is one pan 33 people or is 2 pans 33 people and what are the quantities for 100?
I like Mac and Cheese but I'm not crazy about it. This is a great video and recipe, though. I may try it if I ever have occasion to cook for 30 people. Or, half the recipe and freeze some.
I'm confused. Is the printed recipe for 30 people? It calls for the same ingredients that was used in the video which I thought was for 100 people. Looks delicious. I'm catering a wedding for 200 and would like to use this recipe so I don't want to mess it up.
I just found you. Adore. Wonderful, natural, didn't talk down to us, no pretense. Felt like I was with a friend. Just simply adore you!🥰
Wow, thank you!
Fantastic video! Your instructions are so clear…a natural teacher. Wish you’d do more videos as this one is 7 years old.
More to come!

I cook for a small school and make mac and cheese every 3 weeks for 100 people. Putting the onion in the milk is a great tip. Thanks! Best to you!

Where have I been?!? I just came across this video and absolutely love it! Thanks for the great tutorial!
Out of all the people I seen on TH-cam cooking Mac and cheese she’s the only one wore gloves yes neat and clean
Why would someone who is making a dish for their family need to wear gloves? She’s clearly making this for more than just her family
@@dbreezy8993 it’s about being professional for the sake of the video

@@dbreezy8993 I said for the sake of the video tutorial 😒

Nice video 👍 one question....if I make it the day before would I need to add extra milk or cream when heating?
You shouldn't need to. Just refrigerate and bake when ready.
Nice recipe, so you ended up making 6 Pans correct?
That is correct :)
Please still add half and half and more cheese in the pan mixture to prevent dryness it should be super wet before entering the oven
I did this recipe and the flavor was delicious it just was a lil dry for my taste
Oh how I wish I can make it here.but thank you soon I can be..sending❤to you

Nice vid! Just curious was this for 100 main dishes of mac'n'cheese or 100 sides?
100 sides
how do xou cook 9 lbs of pasta? I am very curious....
Cook it in batches so that it’s evenly al dente. 3lbs at a time.
@@marieflorencecatering5980 ok, for mac and cheese that would work because you put it all int he oven...

Hello ma'am from phils.. How many kilos of macaroni you prepared for 100 people fir that bechamel sauce you made? Thanks
Hello Barbi
What would the measurement be for a small pan for a family? Plsss
How many oz for the noodles
Can you please post the ingredient amounts for 20 people??? Please!
