Hi there. Yeah you have to love the comedy handling of these. This still goes out more often than the others I have. Many thanks for watching (several times) and your great feedback 😁
Great COVID-compliant beach run! Must get myself a Box one day 🙂 I know I keep saying it, but ‘Amazing footage’ Pete. Just superb with the sun and beach and the two boxes. Cars look more waterproof than your boots 😉
Hiya Mikael. Yes I can't believe that you are such a Tamiya buff and yet you don't have one of these. Great on the beach as you see. Oh yes my shoes are still drying off in the airing cupboard! Many thanks for watching. Crap weather here this weekend so doing a bit more indoor tinkering. Hope you are enjoying yours. Best wishes to you 😁
A little bit of summer left in that video, very cheering to see a beach again, and of course the LB! looked good fun and made for the job. Thanks for uploading this, made me smile a lot more than expected!
Hi Carl. Yeah I've been avoiding the beach as it just got ridiculously busy this year. Finally quiet enough and the sun came out so I was determined to get a run in. Yeah the lunchbox always puts a smile on my face too. Many thanks for your great comments 😀
Many thanks mate. Yeah the poor Lunchboxes have a hard time with the sand and salt but usually ok after a little shower. So much fun to be had with these at the beach :-)
Looked grrrreat! Quiet beach, a sand jump and rocket ship Tamiya lunchbox, sounds like a recipe for fun to me, finished off with a fish & chips and a beer ! Love it Pete. Until next time, keep well😉
Oh yeah it's really great down there out of season with the tide out. The Lunchbox is perfect with those tyres and sealed gears. Definitely a beer after but fish and chips was the next day! Many thanks for your comments John. Hope you are staying well too 😁
Ha yeah it was my mate Nick who suggested using the beach showers. It was a great idea and saved my car boot from getting so sandy when I threw the Lunchie in there. Many thanks for watching 😀
I think I agree. The Lunchbox is probably the quintessential beach basher. Especially if it's brushless AND waterproof. Oh. Glued tires too. I like that orange too!!!
Yes indeed. In the long term the sand and salt isn't that good for it but it copes better than most. Many thanks for watching and your great comments 😃
Beautifully brilliant beach bashing boys, lol 😂, those lunchboxes can take a huge amount of abuse, no doubt about it, minze is still in the box 📦, unbuilt, grrrrrrr. 😎👍👍👍🇬🇧
Hi there. Yeah these things are perfect for the beach. You need to get yours built and have some fun with it! Many thanks for watching and commenting 😁
Amazing video! I can attest, the Lunch Box is a lot of fun to drive around! May I ask, how do you film the Lunch Box while it's running? During the epic sand run, the camera is following and keeping speed with the two Lunch Boxes. How do you do that, and what equipment do you use?
OK, I must know what battery and motor you are running? Looks to compliment that Lunch box perfectly. I'd love to have a same setup in my Monster Beatle.
Hi there. It's got the Absima Thrust 3420kv convo and a 2s shorty lipo. There is a Lunchbox review and mods video on my channel that shows the changes I made to this. I think that the Monster Beetle needs that MIP diff to go brushless without breaking doesn't it? Anyway hope you have fun with it. Thanks for watching 😀
Hi Phil. Yeah it's always a fun drive and awesome at the beach. I don't think that we have done a perfect backflip with it but must be possible with the right shaped ramp. Many thanks for watching :-)
Great vid.....now I want to run a brushless motor in my lunchbox too, is that a 10.5 t motor? I have the hornet pinion in mine at the moment, would be crazy with a brushless motor!
Hi. Sorry for late reply. TH-cam didn't alert me. Anyway I'm not sure about the motor turns but it's a 3500kv Absima Thrust combo running on 2s. Yours might be over geared with a Hornet pinion and the big Lunchbox tyres. You'd certainly get some silly top speeds for a Lunchbox! Good luck :-)
This was so much fun matw my red lunch box needs a few parts I’ll get it up together and I’ll bring the new one out also gotta be one of the best cars ever made
Oh yeah this is the RC that got me back into the hobby and it still goes out regularly. Getting more than one of these out together is the best fun. Many thanks for watching and your great comments :-)
Hiya Pete. Ah it is a shame that we couldn't get you down here but I think that would count as unnecessary travel under the current circumstances. Nick is lucky enough to live a short walk from the beach. We will see what happens in December and the new year with the rules. Hope you are well and getting on with your projects. Rather shite weather this weekend so indoor tasks I think. Cheers for watching mate 😁
@@PeteWylieRC It sure is a shame that I live two and a half hours drive away from you but I will have an army of new builds for you to film when we do eventually meet up 👍 Probably need to buy some more batteries too ... 😎
Hi there. The Red one is standard and the Yellow one had the Tamiya CVA short shocks. There is a video on my channel if all the changes I have made to mine. Thanks for watching 😀
Hiya Nick. Ah yes I will have to start saying Canadian Nick and British Nick to avoid confusion. Don't want people to think that you have broken the travel restrictions and popped over to the South of England for an RC bash session! Anyway, yes it was good fun. Beach is finally quiet enough to RC on. Was crazy in the summer because the whole of Britain turned up here as they couldn't go abroad. Anyway hope all is well with you and yours my friend. Many thanks for watching 😀
Hi there. It's got standard gears from the kit and full ball bearings. I did a couple of build and modifications videos of this which shows all the changes I made. Worth mentioning the bit about getting the pinion gear in the right place with a brushless motor because the shape of it is different to a brushed one. If you watch the video you will see what I mean. Thanks for watching 😀
OH YEAH!!! That's what I'm talking about - as I said to Chris Vallone, this kind of RC madness is what inspired me to make videos in the same vein. Glorious fun, just for the hell of it, and just because you can. The shot at 0:55 was my favourite, I think I would have opened with that one - sooooo cloooooose! It was worth waiting for TH-cam to render this one, looked fantastic HD on my screen, Lou and Alf watched it with me so you get three big thumbs up - oh sorry, six thumbs up, it was that good! Bottoms up! :))
Hiya matey. Yeah this type of video is where my heart is really but I have to mix it up a bit with the other stuff. Was great to get a bit of sunshine. Makes such a difference to the video. Yeah I did think about that video you did with the kite (sail ?) in the background. Does add something. Anyway just settling down with a drink after a hard days wrenching and videoing. Doing a final Senton top tips video. Should be out in a few days. Hey we should try and do that video chit chat thing. Like I say, if we come across as pillocks then we don't have to use it. I'm sure we have a lot of fascinating things to say! Anyway I'm just going to get back to Terminator Dark Fate. A pretty good action movie so far. Cheers for now mate. Hope you have a smashing evening 😁🍺🍺🍺🍺
Hi Ric. Shame that you had to work although 3 of us wouldn't be allowed under the current rules! Cheers for watching mate. We will hopefully get out soon 😁

What a fun truck, cool video. 👍
Yeah it's fun for sure. Many thanks for your comments 😀
Great video. After watching this I can’t see how anyone would want anything but a Lunch box at the beach.
Indeed. It's the only one I use down there these days. Many thanks for your comments. Much appreciated 😁
Have watched this countless times. Love my lunchbox it's silly fun. Thanks for uploading the vid, much appreciated 👍

The trusty lunchbox brings back great memories on the beach , great footage and editing , thanks for sharing 👍👍💪💪
Hi there. Yeah it's perfect down there and doesn't seem to suffer from the sand and salt too much. Many thanks for your comments 😀
Man this car was always on my wish list as a kid! Might have to put it on my Xmas list👍
