  • Join Dee & Ant as they give a wrap-up of their thoughts after living in the brand new 2024 Sirocco Grande for 2 months and travelling over 7,000km's.
The 2024 Sirocco Grande leverages off the already strong name of the multi-award winning Sirocco platform, and makes it even better! 200mm wider, and just SO MANY quality inclusions just don't make this a beautiful van to live in, but AWESOME value for money as well. Please make sure you ask any questions that com to mind, we are really happy to share our experiences to date.

Happy travels. I’m a happy Jawa owner and love it.
I agree with the new vans being 200mm wider can give more comfort but have you found it could be a whisker to wide for off roading? Been watching your videos for a long time now and it brings back memories of trips we have done, loving them. Cheers

Would love to hear more about the airconditioner off grid. I have MS and it’s my greatest worry. We have enerdrive and the most solar and all the bits but would love your tips and what can and can’t be done. Thanks very much. Enjoy your channel

Have this video in plan now. Planning to stress test with enough power for the night. Haven’t had very good solar conditions for most of the trip, so will test over the next week or two and post a vid. It will obviously have several variables but a good guide of what can be achieved

Buckaroonie had a Sirocco and got rid of it after a not very long time ….. would be interesting to hear both sides about the quality of Jawa.

@@empty_nestadventures I just watched his video it seems like he likes a more camper trailer experience rather than being in a caravan, which is why we went with the sirocco best of both worlds with outdoor cooking compared to a traditional caravan. Different horses for different courses.

Hello Ant & Dee. I'd just would like to let you know that I very much enjoy your videos and your commentary on the JAWA caravans. I had my eye on a Stealth 12 and believed that my Mitsubishi Pajero would be an adequate towing vehicle.
But after watching your video on the Sirrocco Grande, I have decided to go for the Sirrocco as I wish to stay off the grid for long periods. However, with its higher ATM, I will be forced to purchase a better towing vehicle. By the way, I have already been in touch with Rychelle at JAWA Campers and mentioned your names as the reason for wishing to purchase their product!🙂
So, do you believe the Mazda BT 50 can safely tow the Sirrocco and if so, what modifications do you recommend I make and who can help me do so in my area? I live at Victoria Point, Brisbane, and as this is all new to me, I would greatly value your input and advice!

Hi! Thank you so much for your kind feedback. You’ve made a great decision, the Sirocco is our pick out of all the Jawas we’ve tested based on how we use the van. It’s really comfortable but also perfect for extended off-road and offgrid camping.
Our BT has been far better than I first expected as a tow vehicle. I have spent a lot of time and money getting it perfect, but it’s been brilliant. As a minimum, I’d be upgrading the suspension (I’d go for a GVM upgrade and GCM pre-rego if buying new). With the two of us fully loaded for the lap in the Sirocco it was just under weight. If you have kids travelling, it would be touch and go with the extra weight.
We’d love to catch-up for a beer when we are home and we can chat car upgrades and van stuff…. We’ll be back in Wello Point for 6 weeks in July/August if you’re around?

What do you use to tow the van with? I'm assuming you would need something on the big side.

We tow with a heavily modified Mazda BT50 (named Barry). It’s the same engine and drivetrain as an Isuzu D-Max. Checkout other videos we’ve done that cover the mods to the car

Hey Col. it’s a question for Jawa mate. We have spoken about it, but I’m not sure where it landed and the mechanics of it all. They have been working really hard on making sure they are compliant to all the new gas and van regulations, so I’d say they haven’t made it to this one yet

Very similar to what we’ve just done. If you’re looking to do it slowly and see a few things…. I’d recommend out through Goondiwindi, to Narrabri, to Broken Hill, across the Eyre and Nullarbor…. Hook a left and down to Esperance at Norseman and then onto Perth slowly taking in the awesome beaches. Makes sure if you have time to explore as much as you can. All the off-roading we did wasn’t part of the main route to Perth, it was all to offgrid camping spots

@@rogerbartolo8076 it’s a good start, and I’d either be getting their quick and coming home slow or vice versa. Seven weeks is enough to see a lot. Are you travelling with a dog? Because most of the awesome stuff is in National Parks so dogs will limit what you can see. I could take 12 months to do WA, but 7 weeks is a good start for BNE to PER
