You they have a charging coil/lighting 12v coil kit? I have one and fits most clones. Needs flywheel with inside magnets to operate. Never needs charging, runs a/c current
Yes, I have bikes with the charging coils. I like the Lithium ion set up better. Its more compact and will last forever on a single charge. I run this thing for weeks on a single charge. The LED's draw minimal amperage . Also with the charging coil set up I can not run a billet flywheel with a modified engine like this bike is running.
@@Black66 doesn't Tillotson make a high rpm flywheel with the magnets set up for lighting on their electric start engine?
@@jimcornish242 The flywheel on the Tillotson 212E has a glued on magnet .
The Tillotson is awesome ,but I usually run a billet flywheel on it . I use the Lithuim ion battery pack set up for lighting. No need for charing coils and the battery pack will run the lights for weeks without a recharge.

@@Black66hey brother where did you order then connected for the wiring
This is amazingly helpful for me who would like to do a minibike street legal build. Thanks for going through everything step by step. So many videos speed through or only put up a wiring diagram when someone like me really doesn't want to decipher everything when i can just follow along with someone instead.
Hi beautiful soul do make this mini bike do have web site🙏❤
Did this ever end up passing inspection?
Yes, there are a few street legal videos on the channel.
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing. Kinda seems like each state is a little different with this…i wanna do this with my trailmaster hurricane soon!
I’m just turning 15 and I’m looking into a gas one but I’m in the city, this is super helpful!!!
got my coleman B200R from Tractor Supply in Wickenburg titled but not for the street without any problems at all!
I love these videos ! So glad I’m finding these !! 😊
Thanks for watching!
Just ordered everything you listed on the description
I believe if the minibike moves "slower" then 25mph all you need is the lights and a orange triangle (slow moving vehicle sign). Atleast here in Pennsylvania
Update? Did it pass brother?!?
🤔🤔🤔🤔 i think isn’t
Gr8 edit! Your choice of wiring without any relays is interesting 😮!!
That is the purpose of this kit. Simplicity and compact . No need for relays. This kit pulls very little amperage. Also no need for in line fuses. The box has the fuse built in.
This kit runs the lights for weeks without a recharge. Best lighting kit for a minibike IMO
Perfected Bike Intelligence.
I'm using a 20 volt dewalt battery and a power wheels adapter to power the lights and stuff on my mega moto 80/105 with a GPS 98cc CT100 motor
Good idea 🙌🏻
What about turn signals?
No need for turn signals to be street legal here.
Im doing the same with my MM 212. I was under the impression you needed blinkers also. Also i think you need high and low beams. I know im my state led bars are a no no on public streets. Looking good tho..
I went to the MVD and got the official document on what is needed. No signals are needed. Will be doing a follow up video
Your hands are your blinkers on motorcycles. Out or up. Lol
@kevinclear4007 I get hand signals... for bicycles. For a mini bike I think blinkers would be more practical. I much rather hit a switch than let go of the handle bars with one hand while braking at high speed to throw a hand signal. Under a emergency situation of course.
@@dannyupchurch202 Maybe, but the form I picked up from the MVD didn't require turn signals.
@@dannyupchurch202 I'm only doing the minimum required first to see if its even possible to get them registered.
can you help me find the “mounts” your talking about at 1:58?
Your videos save my life🫠
Wanted to do a 2 stroke , in fla required headlight hi - low beam, taillight w brake Bright" turn signals no arms, 1 rearview mirror , horn w so many decibels, spark arrestor, titled & tagged" no emissions test here
Beautiful work man.
I like your videos. I took mine a step further. I have blinkers and a horn as well. Still can’t register it in Kentucky 🤬
What part of Kentucky? I ride and am always looking for others here to meet with... Kentucky is interesting to say the least when it comes to things like this
@@damienfaust2108 I’m in Elizabethtown. I’d like to find some trails to ride
Put lights on mine using a drill battery and adapter. Wish my State would allow us to register our bikes.
Long term might thing of using a relay in combination with your master switch so you don't overload the switch
Also you can make the whole frame a common ground have less wire runs
The LEDs are drawing such low amperage no need for a relay. I can leave this set up on for hours and hours without a recharge. Literally weeks of use without charging the battery! It is an awesome setup.
What is the name of the output cable at 1:21 the one with the red and black ends cant find the name of them, thank u so much for this great video gonna do this to my rt200.
I think it's a dc power cable male end right? It's the only thing I can find that looks like what you had.
Thanks! Links are in the description for the power cables
@Black66 thank you so much for the fast response, one last thing I assume the switch for the on and off for the tail light and headlight do I need one with red and black ends most I find are green and black just want to make sure is all thank you again for everything!
It says the green wire on the on/off switch is positive but you have red with the black instead of the green and the black which is all I can find I just want to make sure if that could still work or if there's a specific one with a red and black wiring end that I just can't find for some reason thanks again for all your help with all this!
Or just a link to the on/off switch you use would be great
I'm trying to figure out the best way to wire blinkers to my minibike, do you have a video showing how to do that?
Not yet...
Thanks for the information 👍
We have to have a have “Speedometer and odometer: Every motorcycle and motorized bicycle shall be equipped with a properly operating speedometer and odometer calibrated in miles per hour and miles respectively and shall be fully illuminated when the headlamp(s) is activated.” Got any recommendations?
Lol I think that's the easiest part with today's technology my guy
Just use your phone or a cheap tablet and a downloaded app
@@STLWILDONEthat doesn’t work. My state requires a speedometer and odometer
@@scarpinoja Then buy an electric one. As long as it can accurately tell the speed within a 5mph error, you should be good.
My state requires this as well. I'm looking into it.
Your the best brother 💯
I want to see you do this w/ one of the electric bikes.... I plan on doing this w/ my Modified Razor mx650 (currently 48v 2000w) but I want a Electro and Co 72v 6000w kit before I do it. I'm planning on getting turn signals front and back, headlight/horn combo and a tail light/brake light... 😁👍
I have a video with a complete lighting kit on the qs120 bike. I'll throw it out there soon!
Does this work on cars

Very nice video man!! What light bar and brackets are you using? Thanks!!!
Thanks! It's a light bar from Amazon. Here is the link

Awesome thanks man can’t wait for your next video
I've often wondered if the stater on the bike would recharge one of those types of batteries
This bike doesn't have a stater because of the billet flywheel. I used lithium ion batteries because they will run the LED lighting for weeks on a single charge.
I bet it could with a regulator rectifier. Probably be a slow charge if it only had one pick up in the flywheel
Great stuff, can I ask what you used to mount that light bar? I'm liking that and would like to mount a light barrel as well.
The mounts come with the light bar. Links are in the description of the video.
Did you have to use different screws or do anything to the mounts to attach to the bike. The screws that come with the mount are smaller than the front threads @@Black66
how did you install the front lights? what bolts did you use, cuz I just bought all this stuff that you had listed, but now I can't get the lightbar on cuz it doesn't fit
the bolts they came with are too small and the bolts that fit the fork are too big for the lightbar mounting brackets, I fell like I wasted money now
Great video....very informative.
It's easy to smooth out the coil current by making a simple a/c-d/c rectifier out of 4 diodes. I like mine.
Ohio's super easy as long as you have a title. 99.99% impossible if you don't.
Turn signals?
No need for turn signals to pass inspection
Off road tires lol let me shut my mouth
@@Black66 vtread 🤐
I wanted to do turn signals on mine
Have not seen a kit yet
I also live in california andnwant to make my electric mega moto street legal. I think im ekther going to try for moped or motor-driven cycle. How do you go about getting a VIN for these bikes?
I don't live in Cali . No idea on California law.
Any issues with DOT approved lights/tires horn DP? Thanks for your videos. Helpful and motivating.
Any luck getting it to pass inspection?
I'm about to attempt wiring all my lights and digital GPS Speedometer to a 3 button switch but have been stalling on doing it just cause all those wires confuse me trying to figure out which wires run where. I am writing all this stuff down step by step in hopes it'll help me. But lets say you wanted to also throw in a couple of left and right signal marker lights into the mix. Do I just wire their red and blacks to the same red and blacks as the tail and headlight ? I don't need the signals to blink just steady orange lights to help be seen in the dark.
In San Diego California can you do this???
Ayyye 🆒 Any updates on the surety bond ?
Part2????
Coming soon!
Watched this 6/10/2024. Were you ever successful in getting Title/Registration? I'm in AZ too. By Phoenix, Metrocenter.
You don’t need turn signal?
That's a awesome kit where you get the whole kit
By any chance can u put links for the parts u used
Yes , the links for the parts used are in the description of the video. Thanks for watching!
Love this video but battery pack is too close to the exhaust, I would make a heat shield and/or wrap the exhaust
Thanks! So far so good with my sweet aluminum shield over the battery . 👍
Great video! Thank you!
Dumb Question, but want to make sure I know. IF you don't turn off the switch to the battery, does it drain the battery when your NOT riding it? So you go out riding, the switch is ON, all working. Then your done for the day, and park the mini bike, do you Have to turn the switch on the batter OFF? Or can you just leave it on, and it doesn't drain the battery? If it does, then why wire a switch into it, just turn off the battery and everything turns off, then you don't need a switch. I'm guessing you would only use the lights at night, but like Motorcycles we run headlights ALL the time so people SEE us, so if that is the case with the mini bike, then you don't need a switch, you use the switch on the battery to turn everything off. So question is, IF you don't turn the switch OFF after riding for the day, does it drain the battery? Thanks, just trying to see, as I figure it would be like a car battery, not using power when car is off.
Yes, you can leave the switch on and it won't drain the battery. I always like to have control of the lights on the handlebars just like a motorcycle would have, in case I need to flash the headlight on and off in traffic for several reasons.
Do you know if we could do the same thing in California?
i had some questions about where you VIN was found? i have two of these frames and the "VINs" are the same.
What is the peice called that goes from the brake switch to bare ends or whatever you use in the video I found everything else but can’t find that
Where did you find those connectors for thr wbrakw light
Have you done anything with a Trailmaster?
How did you install the brake microswitches?
Whats the headlight lonk and model? I dont see it on the description
Not sure about the headlight. I picked it up used. There are quite a few LED lights similar on Amazon.
i’m new to mini bikes so can i ask what bike that is?
So for the battery you basically snipped off one end?
Badass im doing the same thing here in Arizona are you part of Arizona Mini Bike Association
What type of pipe is that I need that😂
It's a center exhaust I made from a GPS pipe and a pit bike muffler. Check out the Mega Moto 212 playlist .
@@Black66I wish I could put it on my Coleman ct200u-ex 🥲
No need for turn signals?
No need , I can use hand signals out here.
Why did you decide against fuses?
The battery box has an internal fuse. Also the system draws very little amperage with the LED lighting .
Im getting mine street legal
Does this work in los Angeles California?
I hooked up my lights the way you did but my switch doesn’t control any thing my head light on and taillights on brake light works what did wrong
Any link for those self sealing wire majiggers don't wanna get the wrong size end up in a medical chopper
Anyone ever found a 10” rim and dot tire? Iowa requires that
I'm in Arizona too
what did you buy to go from the brake lever switch to cable i cant find it on amazon? link would be helpfull or just the name.
I want to find that too I just ordered the stuff but this guy doesn’t reply to the useful questions and plus he hasn’t updated anything
All lights in branch is called the BMV
Thanks!
Someone get this man a small torch!
No need, I do just fine with what I have.
What breaks are you running?

Love this ty imma do this
Too Legit to quit Mc Hammer ain't got nuttin on black66 lol ima turn mine into a mini grom I called first dibs lmao good stuff mane
I live in az to

I would run a small solar charger on that battery.
You could but there really is no need. This pack runs the lights for weeks without needing a charge .
Update video?
Went ahead and got two other bikes street legal on the channel. MB200 and a MM80/105. Both are in the playlists
The heat shield would work better if it had an air gap on both sides
The heat shield works perfectly! After riding for about an hour I can put my hand on the completely cool battery box. Check out the other lighting setups on the channel. Thanks for watching!
@Black66 what kind of wire did you use on the break light switch? 9:09
you don't need to register or carry a license when traveling in non-commercial intercourse.
We ride these bikes on the street in town and on the highway. Our city requires registration
Black your the Bomb
That mirror not good I got it n u can’t see out of it because the bike shakes
They work way better with heat gun
Can I get an engine I broke my engine
No
No fuses? Yikes…
Has internal fuse in the battery box. Very low amperage with the LED set up. . This set up works fantastic! Also runs for weeks without the need for charging.
Best lighting set up I have ever run on a bike .
Don’t forget DOT tires, and lights and mirrors should all be DOT approved if not if you have any accidents expect to be the one paying the others bills even if you have moped insurance, parts need to be DOT approved or else your risking your financial future and safety. They do make DOT parts it’s just a battle to find the correct ones. Hope this helps as from personal experience I know it can be done safely. Each state has its own laws regarding mopeds licenses but DOT is federal territory and applies to all 50 states.
Some state'S u can not make them street legal at all
That's a fact
I'm curious how this went for you. I've had mixed experiences over the years with the AZ MVD, lol. I've never failed to register a vehicle with a cert of origin, even when it was questionable how legal it actually was, but on home built projects which met the letter of the law and even used 100% DOT certified lighting and electric components and even expensive DOT tires...FAIL. I wish you the best of luck.
Then, when the electric mini bike in question was stolen at a car show with 200 people there and locked to a bike rack, it took from dusk to midnight for the cops to finally show up "because it was not a licensed and registered motorcycle". Go figure. It was however a full suspension, dual motor (brushed and brushless), dual throttle, aluminum frame, carbon fiber body and fenders masterpiece. It is very unlikely the thief was even able to figure out how to turn both motors on or charge the 5 20Ahr SLA batteries which required two chargers. It had a brushless 24V motor geared to throw it up to about 18MPH (thumb throttle) then twist the 36V throttle on the brushed motor to get to 45+MPH. This was back in 2002 so quite a bit ahead of it's time. Oh yeah, can't forget the sequential arrow turn signals behind the mirror glass. I think I'm still a little sad 21 years later if you can't tell.
Sorry to hear about your loss I highly recommend a micro chip anti theft system especially when you have done so much work can’t skimp on the last step bike security.
@@scottbrodie3071 Yes, security is imperative unfortunatly. Back in 2002 the options were few and expensive, but now it is easy to hide and easy to use.
Another thing is to bring up the right to travel written in the constitution that guarantees travel on public motorways freely without a license or registration. Just don't drive in a commercial capacity. Try that with a cop, total game changer. Lol
Yea my friend said if your area not
