They are pretty chill rarely attack humans here in the Netherlands we have loads of them aswell nobody has ever been attacked.
They have no teeth (just micro teeth like sand paper), they are inoffensive for anything else than what they can swallow entirely.
But yet they can be scary if you touch them without knowing they are here.
I litterally walk once on a big wels while walking in shallow muddy water, I believed it was a big piece of wood... I was like " What the fucking fuck is happening.!!!!" He hit my leg with his head while fleeing in a big wave and I took a bath.
