Thought it was rose quarts but I also think its calcite. Take small piece,put in vinegar and if it bubbles and it melts, its calcite. Quarts is 7 hardest of rock,DIAMOND 10>QUARTS 7 >TALC 1. Its going to look beautiful especially in the wet weather. Good luck Jordy 🏴🧙♂️🏴😁😁

Looks like you got a good start on it. I don't think it's Quartz. I've used Quartz as the flint in flint & steal fire starters. Every Quartz I ever messed with is pretty hard stone, usually with a lot of crystals and fractures that would cause it to break off in small bits. I ain't no rock expert though so I don't know.
