Tibeto-Burman originated from neolithic Majiayao culture, central-western China Majiayao itself was from Miaodigou culture, one of other branches of Miaodigou eventually became Sinitic
You can clearly see that number 3, 5 and 9 in these languages are very similar. Btw 3, 5 and 9 Mandarin are san, wu, and jiu; in Cantonese are sam, ng, and gau; in Middle Chinese (reconstruction) are sam, nguo, and giu
9:03 1, 2 and 6 in Sunuwar are very similar to Sino-Japanese numbers “ichi” “ni” and “roku” although Sunuwar is spoken in the Himalayas so far from Japan. Interesting!
This system of counting was borrowed from China by Japan way back in past....Japan has its own indigenous counting system which is completely different...
Mostly a coincidence; We like adding an extra syllable in the beginning or end of numbers. Same with the Yakthum Limbu people. We say:- Lathik, nisi, sumsi, lisi, ngasi, tuksi, nusi, yetsi, phangsi.
Number 2 also similar to sino-Japanese number Sunuwar :Japanese Ni > ni = 2 Sino-Japanese number borrow middle Chinese but it interesting because number 1,2 and 6 in sunuwar similar to sino-Japanese.
because Japanese had Sino tibetan influence in the past, also the way Kiranti people pronounce it that way is because most likely their language also have alot of vowel in each word like " a,i , u , e, o " and japanese also need vowel in each word , so maybe that's why there'll be similarity between those 2 language , at least the way they interpret the sino-tibetan counting system.
Oh that's an interesting thing to know. The Baric languages are mostly spoken in Northeast India and also in some parts of Nepal and parts of Bangladesh. The two mentioned here- Kokborok-mostly spoken in West Bengal, Tripura, Assam, Mizoram, and the neighboring provinces of Country Bangladesh, mainly in the Chittagong Hill Tracts. It is an official languagege of the Indian state of Assam, predominantly spoken in the Bodoland Territorial Region. It is also one of the twenty-two languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution of India. Native speakers: 1.5 million
I would like to make a clarification that Tibetic (also known as Bodish) languages does NOT mean 'Tibetan'. The three languages spoken by ethnic Tibetans is Lhasa (also known as U-tsang), Amdo and Kham 'dialects' (but realistically they can be considered three different languages). Ethnic Monpas, Rong, Lhopa (tribes such as the Nyishi and Tani), some Kirati (most notably the Yakthung), Ladakhis, Changpas, Baltis and Lauhili/Spiti (among many others) speak "Tibetic" or "Bodish" languages but are NOT ethnically Tibetan.
Yakthum along with Khambu Rai languages & a few other outliers like Yakkha & Koinch Sunuwar; All fall under one big family; Essentially, the same language descended from ancient proto-sino-tibetan; But, yeah; We're not influenced by Tibetan Buddhism; But our neighbours became heavily influenced.
Tani language include tribes like Adi, Apatani, galo, Nyishi(Bangni), Tagin and Missing. All these tribes has dialects that's almost identical to each other.
I should say tebito burman languages is the richest and diverse in the world, just one example here of my own tribe called "phom' tribe in Nagaland. In phom tribes we have around 40 villages and you know each single village has their own language, we are same tribe but we can't understand one another dialect or language so we adopted one specific language as our common language so that we all can communicate. That's how rich in language we have here, and their are many tribes in Nagaland like ours..!!
There were records that some heroes in chinese legends (the Great Yu, etc) came from "Qiangs in the west", also the original Zhou founders interacted heavily with Qiangs "Qiangs" in the ancient time were not the samely called people (Rma) today. It's a common word referring Tibeto-Burman peoples, including Bod-Qiangs (ancestral tibetans), Tangut Qiangs (Horpa-like language (Rgyalrongic) speakers), etc

And in our village dialect it reads.. 1- huk 2- ni 3- lum, 4- she 5-nuo ,6- yok 7-nyih , 8- jat, 9- kau 10- ban. Some words can't spell properly because of script issue. Their is proper phom language grammar although its in latin script but unfortunately i don't know very well😊
