@@taheemlewis7627 Don't think you know what an antihero is. Kenny is not that. If you think making some excuses for why you cheat and screw people around you over for your own glory makes you an "antihero", then every villain is an antihero.
Kenny is a sore loser that feels entitled to more than he earned. Nothing sympathetic about that either. Only sympathy I have is for Moxley, Eddie Kingston, and any of the lower card guys that Omega and the Bucks beat up a couple weeks ago.

@Unsere Dreiwolf The thing about the characters you've mentioned is that they break rules, yes, but in the name of justice. Antiheroes are generally people that do bad things for good reasons, more or less. So, usually one can sympathize with their motives, whether or not one feels their actions are correct. It's essential, I would say, for an audience to be able to resonate with the antihero's sense of being wronged. Otherwise, they are just a villain.
Thus I totally agree that Eddie Kingston would be (perhaps already is) a great antihero. He'll break the rules, but it's so things are fair for his family. He feels like they've been screwed, and he's at least kind of right.
Omega on the other hand is just a sore loser. I (and I think others) cannot relate to his sense of being wronged, because quite honestly he hasn't been. His failure to win is on him. The fact that audiences don't appreciate him is at least partly on him, and partly just tough luck. Beating down innocent people just to feed his (and now the Bucks') ego isn't serving justice. It is not bad deeds serving a good purpose. It's just bad deeds serving a bad purpose.
@@benjaminburns6336 I think the whole backdrop of Kenny's promo is that the Elite felt obligated to put other people over in order to show that the purpose of AEW wasn't just to be greedy and make themselves solely the focal point of the promotion. What I get from what he's saying is that by being selfless to grow AEW and give the other guys credibility, the Elite had to take a backseat which led themselves to be irrelevant instead of being the top dogs as they once were.

It's hard to call it a promo because it's so personal.
I been following this guys since new japan and it really sucks all the hate that they get and all they are trying to do is just put up a good show for us while risking their well being.

Not just that, can kind of tell they took some constructive criticism from all the negative out there and are using the toxic end to fuel themselves. Smart and commendable, there are some legit criticisms out there and gotta say I respect them for being able to differentiate between the two.
That Omega promo at the end, air that for dynamite! He can do serious promos when he needs to, this showcases his character and his current motivations as the current champ more to a wider audience. Great way to sign off BTE, but you put that as a 3/4 minute segment on Wednesday and that is gold!
& that's the problem with Dynamite. Promos & feuds connect better when they are self aware & exploit reality that's why the last segment sounded so good but they never show this stuff on Dynamite.

Well that's the problem, sometimes all the story building happens on BTE primarily, and the Dynamite crowd misses out on. They need to connect the dots themselves which can become cumbersome when you're telling complex stories

I've been a fan of AEW ever since the first Dynamite back in 2019, and I am glad that these guys along with Tony Khan had a vision that was created and has brought us to this place almost 2 years later. "Changing the World" is not just a mantra, it is a mission, and I look forward to seeing how The Elite and Tony take us there.

Kenny's talk in the end gave me chills. Well, you guys don't have go away heat. Fans just keep changing their minds cuz they always try to latch on to what's the current hot fav. You still have a very loyal fanbase who loves and appreciates you guys.

Kenny in main event as champ at revolution did 6 million ppv buys but of course it won't matter cuz all matters is these imaginary hatred. Also, check the numbers neber has Kenny or bucks segments lost viewers they've always been most watched part of the show.

That Kenny promo, talking about how hated AEW is and how a lot of people are rooting against them is 100% true. It's crazy that a promotion that somehow through no fault of their own has become a heel to people because they are so brainwashed by WWE that people actively want them to fail.
A promotion that has done nothing but be kind to their wrestlers, their staff, been a positive influence in the community, and listened to their fans is somehow seen as the "bad guys" - while WWE actually does some of the most vile disgusting and unscrupulous business tactics is seen as the "good guys". It's actually sad to see.
If AEW ever goes out of business, in ten years people will be looking back on their work and be completely baffled at how it happened.

This is not about WWE anymore stop seeing Vince everywhere. I watch AEW weekly and I can see their flaws and that's why I don't like what the Elite do, and this is not because they are heels now. Kenny Omega might be a really good wrestler and all but he is highly overrated and everytime he grabs the mic on TV does bad promos (this promo was good and should air on tv). The young bucks act like children, specially last week with that high school play acting. I really REALLY want to watch this guys and say "Yeah! this is why I love wrestling" but everytime I say "this is cringe I can't recommend AEW to my friends".

I just wanna let you know that I appreciate you guys more than I can say. You guys helped me get through some trying times back in the day and I am forever grateful for that. No matter how many uncharitable people tear AEW down in their hateful insecurity, I'll always support you guys, Wrestling to me is more than the rat race of ratings and quarter hours and stuff like that. It is the pure, unbridled joy I used to feel watching the Bucks on PWG, watching Kenny vs Prince Devitt in Korakuen Hall. Nothing can ever take that feeling away from me.
I just got more into AEW recently and I feel the same.

They are tbh. They’re what We loved from the BC. The current state of club sucks and they don’t even feel like the BulletClub anymore. Along with that, they’re image & charisma died when elite left and BC has been pretty boring & uninteresting since then.
The Elite put bullet club on the map. Simple as that. Tama Tonga wasn't the one who got their merch at Hot Topic. There's no Tama Tonga Funko Pop.
Current bullet club sucks. It's not even a group of heel foreigners anymore. A lot of the guys don't even rep the logo or anything. I still like them, but it's just not the same faction it once was.
