I just picked up an XD5 at an estate sale for $32.50! It's in great shape and it's my first foray into proper film photography. I love your videos, and frankly I'm shocked at your low subscriber number for how high quality your videos are. Keep up the great work!
It looks like the XD-7/XD-11 models did have aperture setting displayed in the viewfinder (Actual setting, not recommended). I owned an XD-5 way back in 1981, took it to the beach to photograph my cousin surfing, unfortunately 5 drops of salt water on the camera destroyed it. I still have MD Rokkor 50mm f/1.4 lens from this camera, but on an XG2. The XD models are much better than XG.

That’s a fantastic value! Thank you, I’m just trying to spread the joy of film photography through TH-cam.
I have an xd7 and an x570 (and some Nikon FEs) and I dont know why plastic is seen as less durable.

With a little practice XD5's exposure compensation can substitute AE-lock.
Hi, where can I get the XD5??
Try eBay ebay.us/d6KlGv
XD11/XD7 is definitely better than both of them.
Slightly better :) As the internals are pretty much identical with a few added features.
