Sometimes I just don't make sense I cannot get the words out smh I'm thankful to turn to you father God im new to praying I'm using what is coming out of heart then outta of my mouth. Lord God above you know my pleas and I thank you I give you all the glory I' apologize for hurting your heart you never deserve anything but good ❤ only good should come to you I pray this prayer in your holy name
Thank you. You are giving us the greatest gift a person can ever give anyone. May you recieve double blessings as we receive from your obedience to the LORD too.
For me 1:12 seems like it edges more toward extent he will go to run away from Gods calling versus being sacrificial in a noble way lol but its hard to tell. Love this bible study!
Not sure why but the comments about the cypress trees and their root system got me so focus on the roots I couldn't move on to finish. I actually read about their roots systems! Maybe is is because I am in the path of Beryl and Jonah is in a storm...lol! No really, I kept on asking myself "How strong are your roots"? Are they strong enough to weather any storm? What else can I do to make sure I have myself rooted in Jesus? food for thought.....Welcome back Kanoe! Thanks Holly for holding down the study!
Thank you for everything Kanoe . I would like prayers for my little Boston Terrier who has to have a knee operation today. I love her so much and pray that Jesus will be present with her and keep her safe. I pray that the operation is a success and that she will be healthy for the rest of her life. I Thank you you all. Thank you Jesus.
I never can thank you enough Kanoe & Holly for this precious bible study, so far I am caught up all year and in real time and even joined last September. I understand it so well how u explain each chapter… just was meant for me to find. I pray God continues to bless this little ministry and I always share it on my page on Facebook hoping someone else will join. I pray that each and everyone who prays & cries out to God he will answer and even give miracles. I pray our minds, hearts and spirits are open to receive this holy word each day and lead us down the narrow path that few find Much love to you and everyone in this group🙏🌹🕊️❤️
Welcome back...heard you finally had a peaceful one ...God gave you a rest you so needed...God Bless you 🙏 ❤ Thank you for your time teaching us ...really appreciate you and your sweet family giving us the mana we need...❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Kanoe my grandmother always used to tell me do not point a finger at anybody because you have 4 pointing back at you. Also you have 2 ears 1 mouth so listen twice as much as you speak. The greatest she taught me was to love and fear the Lord God and of Jesus Great Love. Thank You God The Father Yahweh, God The Son - Jesus and God The Holy Spirit for Your Great Love 🙌🏼♥️🙏🏼. Great to be here studying with you all brothers and sisters studying God’s Holy Word.
Wow! I don't actually follow the reading plan or have looked at it but for me Heart Dive is an extra way I can spend time with God, hearing his word when I'm traveling for work. I put in on while I'm getting ready in my hotel or in the shuttle on the way to the airport. But I literally JUST read Jonah and had all these questions for God and I truly believe I was lead to read it because it would align with this video coming out a few days later
I was 5 weeks behind and I'm trying really hard to get caught up I'm so grateful for you and Holly thank you for all your hard work I'm trying really hard
From Michelangelo’s portrait, first off I notice Jonah’s hands. His fingers are pointing in different directions depicting he was told to go one way but ran away from Gods command. His torso is the same color as the fish maybe showing the physical consequences of disobeying God. Just a thought, I haven’t read this book in many years, so I hope to glean more after I finish.
Spiritual Deep Dive (v1:17) - 3 days/ 3 nites in the belly of a big fish. Down in the darkness never meant to be (Jonah). Held until it raised vomited out. Jesus was in the darkness of hell and raise up on 3rd day. Mt 12:38-41 Jesus spoke about Jonah for they wanted a sign. Jesus gives … Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for 3 days and 3 nights. Behold something greater than Jonah is here. Verse 42-45 please let me know what you discern from these verses I’d like your opinion. Thank you. Loved today’s study.
I love how the people of Nineveh BELIEVED GOD, there is so many promises from Jesus but my question is ? Why don’t we believe ALL that the Lord said. Let us believe ONLY as Jesus said to the Father of a sick son ❤
Jonah didn't just jump into the sea, guess he couldn't self destruct but interesting he was going to have them be blood guilty for his death. Rick Warren points out the people of Nineveh had "recently" endured years of famine, earthquake... So they were mentally and spiritually ready to accept that God Almighty was angry making their hearts ready for repentance 💯
I think Jonah may have been suffering from burnt skin. I mean all that bile digesting you for 3 days must have peeled off a layer or two. Maybe that’s why he was so uncomfortable in the sun.
I have studied Jonah before and I don't think Jonah's heart was to be heroic/ Christ like in ch 1:12. Tarshish was known as the end of the world to the Israelites in these times. Jonah was literally going to the ends of the earth to avoid preaching the life saving message to his enemies. When he told these gentile sailors to throw him over, he was asking them to kill him, aka assisted suicide. He didn't care that this could be placing the sin of murder on these men. The men saying in v14 "lay not on us innocent blood" shows the men were aware this could be seen as murder and they acknowledge the existence, and power/ judgment, of God, though they do not follow Him. Jonah was jumping straight to sacrificing himself, for all the wrong reasons, and doing it without the repenting from following his own evil desires to watch his enemies parish. The pagans showed more respect to the Lord and more compassion for Jonah's life than Jonah was showing toward the Lord or to anyone else's life, despite being the only man/ prophet of God o the ship.

When I was writing a note from 4:3, I wrote “selfishness “ and notice the word “FISH” in it. 😅.
The synchronization is off but thank you

I think Jonah may have been suffering from burnt skin. I mean all that bile digesting you for 3 days must have peeled off a layer or two. Maybe that’s why he was so uncomfortable in the sun.
The people of Ninevah were also responsible for killing Jonah's family and his tribe, thats where his hate also came from
