For a moment, I thought you meant the aircraft was 20 years old in 2018 but it was actually made on the 20th year of easyJet being in operation! Nice video!
Rupert Hess It’s not for someone who enjoys the hustle and bustle of the larger airports haha. I know, it’s such a shame. I’m yet to actually visit Germany... thanks :D
Fabulous video! Why is there such a difference in engine sound when climbing versus cruising as I thought take off is generally about 90% thrust and cruise is generally about 80% thrust. I know there are many factors affecting the amount of thrust but can't understand why climbing produces so much engine noise?
Thank you. It’s due to the airspeed of the aircraft. During the initial climb after takeoff and the final descent to land, the aircraft is moving a lot more slowly through the air, so there is a lot less air friction occurring. That’s what causes the draft sound in the cabin during the cruise. It suppresses the sounds of the engines so they appear quieter in the cabin at that point of the flight. You are right however with the engine power, although a lot of the time you will find that the engines operate at a higher speed in the cruise than during takeoff, as longer runways can require as little as 75%. I hope this helps :D
@@conco010 Airspeed does play a part, but it's not the main reason that an aircraft's engine noise diminishes with altitude. Don't forget that in cruise an A320 is probably doing only 240-260kts IAS. The growling sound generated by the CFM56 at high power is created by shockwaves propagating from the fan as it rotates at transonic speeds. As the aircraft climbs the air density decreases; molecules are spaced further apart and are therefore less efficient at transmitting sound waves.
I have a question. I don’t know if you can answer this or not, but the pilot said our plane is a EasyJet NEO, it was a320, but when I looked at the plane it didn’t say NEO in it at all. Do you know why?

Very fast takeoff!
Awesome video bud, really love seeing the engine!
The 🙍🏿♂️
I flew G-EZOX to Marrakech from Gatwick in 2016!

iiiiiiiiiiiii🍣
A full power take off as full tank of fuel - good stuff.
Few of us saw your flight. We were at Viscount house, behind the PC-12 T7-AMS.
SOUTHEND AVIATION Nice! Thanks for watching :D
Very nice! I Iove EasyJet! Southend seems to be rather cosy :-) Sadly EasyJet is closing the base in HAM by the end of March :-(

Yeah, you’re definitely right! Cool, Germany is really worth a visit ;-)
Lovely Video Mate I flew G-EZOX RHO-LGW 30 Aug 17. Was a Lovely aircraft but It was dark so I couldn't see the Pictures!!
Matt Getson Ahh that’s a shame, it’s a lovely aircraft indeed. Thanks for watching :D
Very "silent" cemetery at 10:27 :-D .... Nice video, thank you :-)
That's the best spot for plane spotting!

@@conco010 thanks for the detailed reply :-)

Some of easy jets a320 neo are not painted in the neo livery.
Thats exactly the plane and the airport I went to on my holiday lol...wait THATS THE EXACT FLIGHT NUMBER I HAD ON MY PLANE!!!!!
Anorexic Meme what’s the flight number and what seat number your in then?
Oh Shit look in the title and you’ll see the number and I was sitting a couple of seats in front on the other side
Shame EZY stopped their flight to GRAN CANARIA from SEN
If there had been less cloud I think I’d have seen my house on takeoff!
James Christmas That is unfortunately what we have to deal with on a daily basis 😂
