It's stupid that they included this. There's also some other errors in the video, like the guy firing the gun in the fighter jet -- they said he was launching a missile.
Many years ago, I was lucky enough to have a friend from a Calif. AFB who knew I was a GA pilot and fascinated with the C-5 Galaxy. He took me to a remote dirt road by the end of the runway and I got to see the massive T-tail C-5 take off! What a roar, as it flew right over our heads -- what a thrill for me that was -- I was dumbstruck for a few minutes! I'll never forget it.
Back in the 70's-80's I lived in Inglewood, CA, pretty much under LAX approach, always had commercial jets flaying over really low. Every once in a while a C-5 would land at LAX, and you could hear it coming from a long way off, then the shadow would pass over, and it took several seconds for it to do it! That thing was HUGE!
@@longbowshooter5291 When I was a child, Daddy had a patient who was a pilot and he told Daddy about where to go to a side road to see planes taking off and landing at LAX! I don't really remember it but we used to drive out there on a weekend to watch the takeoffs and landings! And when my brother was born, my parents sent my older sister and I to stay with my grandparents who had a big farm in Kansas and we flew by ourselves in a DC-3, and I remember stopping in Alburquerque and the flight attendant took us by the hand into the terminal to get a snack. I learned how to say Alburquerque! I have been fascinated by flying to this day, learned to fly years ago and love it! By the way, I was BORN in Inglewood although we never lived there! But I've had to put that name on formal docs all my life so never forgot that place!
Helicopter that hit the power lines on landing: Balloon pilots know to look for the POLES, not the WIRES. You can't always see the wires, but you can see the poles. The wires can never be higher than the poles and are always strung between two poles. Balloon pilots also know there is a small ground wire that hardly sags at all between many poles, so assume it is there when crossing over power lines.
For anyone wondering, that plane in the ocean at 13:09 was sunk on purpose for divers. It's in Turkey: In June 2016, Airbus A300 was sunk in Kusadasi for diving world and this is the biggest plane wreck in the world. The inside and outside of the plane has been freed from all foreign substances that may harm the sea.
The one at 20:12 is a glider and most of those are used to landing in meadows and fields. Which happens when weather conditions change due to which they can't find warm rising air they use to stay up in the sky. And there's ussually someone following them on the ground in a car with a trailer (the wings are foldable or can be detached).
The “Navy’s top aerobatic team?” That would be the Blue Angels. The people on the beach didn’t expect that show? That’s what they were there for! About 60 years ago I saw the Blue Angels perform at Virginia Beach. I believe they were flying F9 Panthers.
25:22 This is an RC plane. The build quality doesn't measure up to a real plane, the cowlings appear to be hand made as does the fuselage, and those wheel struts wiggling around are not strong enough to land a heavy plane. And yes, I did expect at least one to fall off, the one dangling from the git go! 😁👍😎✌🗽
I'm really sorry.... but i really miss the usual Mind Warehouse commentator... The guy doing it the last few videos doesnt do the videos justice and says incorrect (silly/and sometimes annoying) things... Im sorry, just a bit of constructive criticism from a long time fan 💜
Not enjoying the narrators voice!! At 1:15 what the narrator don't tell you is that helicopter was rented by 2 graduating high schoolers in South Africa, they dont call it prom though i forget what is called out there, and that helicopter actually started a fairly big sized grass fire and the pilot was even fired as he was told where to land and completely ignored those orders. He also caused a blackout for their high school graduation party (what we call prom) and for his actions his aviation license was suspended for a year
20:21 The plane is a glider. Glider pilots are trained to be able to land anyplace available if they run out of lift ( thermals ). I know, I had to do it a couple of times ! Otherwise, great videos.
6:19 anybody wondering what the firework show is, those are anti heat-seeking flares. Designed to confuse and lose a heat seeking infrared missile. However, more modern missiles can detect and avoid such flares. Those flares were mainly useful in the 1960s-1990s when missiles locked on to the most obvious signature, and would switch targets. Not so useful anymore. Modern missiles can lock on to a specific target and track it through so much distraction.

I stood on a hilltop when a Phantom aircraft passed above me as it simulated an attack on a radar station behind me. If I jumped, I would reach the aircraft. I could clearly see the face of the pilot. A friend of mine was with me, but he ran when he saw how low the Phantom was.
I love jets, helos, drones, everything except small propeller planes. When I worked for an airline we had one hit by lightening and it left a hole the size of a quarter in the fuselage right behind the cockpit. The pilot on that flight was from Texas and we all loved him. He had a great sense of humor, and didn't hesitate to say something off color in our station because when we were alone we were worse. I asked him how he dealt with all the screaming passengers, he put on a confused expression and said how the hell would I know I was too busy screaming. We all laughed and his copilot, who was the perfect straight man, said I had to deal with it because he didn't just scream he wet himself and then it was all out exchange of jokes and putdowns. I would like to request that you remove one of your video clips that shows a helo and a man delivering what appears to be regular take-out but what he is delivering is dog meat. Thank you.
The first plane pilot did what the PIA pilots did. Unfortunately in the PIA situation, the crash killed all but 1 on board and a few on the ground. I wonder what happed to the plane shown here.
