SC2's music in the background is chill, also fits the war setting
I've been watching a lot of SC2 video's lately and I suspect this got recommended to me just because the algorithm noticed the SC2 music in the background.
A megatank would have been a bad idea. Artillery can do 2 damage each turn to it, forcing it to spend over 5k/turn on repairs while it's just blocked in killing an infantry every turn. it basically turns the game into a 6k income difference with an infantry tax every turn, while tying up 28k value just shooting at infantry every turn. this happened in a Deejus video recently and the opponent eventually deleted his own megatank because he couldn't fight the rest of the map while paying so much in repairs on hidden edge.
But you can't afford to waste one base to pump out infantry every turn
@@Suy.. Don't players generally build infantry by default unless there happens to be a specific need for something else?
@@Suy.. You will be using injured infantry first and You'll be having so much injured infantry that if you get to the point of needing to build infantry for that specific purpose, then you are already so far ahead that it is irrelevant.
The funny thing about that map was that the player was about to overcome the infantry blockers and would have had a decent chance to win if he had just committed to his strategy.
I've missed these. Glad to see they're back.
I remember this legendary match vividly. I was cooking breakfast to Mangs's screams of "OH MY GOD HE BUILT A CARRIER!" The scrambled egg tasted better that morning.

I remember seeing this match when it happened, i was surprised and pumped seeing a Lash pick.
Sadly when the game became a air focused fight at the center, it became rough for Lash to keep up.
(i got a bit of a soft spot for Lash, such a fun character)

In campaign? Yes. In a ranked league game? Hmmmm. Rare, situational. High Funds maybe. Rockets better. Battleships usually HQ denial but you'll likely be losing at that point anyways.

This is very well done man. And the Starcraft tunes fit it like a glove.
That bomber bait was amazing! Not only did it suck in the air units, I think it helped ensure getting the super power right when it was needed

Not all that big of an AW fan, but i do like Warcraft 3, and commentary videos like these kinda remind me of Warcraft 3, so it's still pretty fun to watch every now and then

Awesome match. Loving the StarCraft2 Terran music. If you've never listened to it before, you should also check out StarCraft 1's Terran themes. Some of the best videogame music ever composed IMO.

This new replay viewer is nice. I like how things don't happen instantly; there's little animations like the power bars filling up, the units moving into place, the funds counting up and down... Looks very good

Feels like it's been forever since I've seen a straight up 1v1 match analysis which I miss.
You can flip the direction units face in the replay viewer (and change which country)
Right click on the CO in the top right.
The viewer also gives you the stats as of each turn rather than the match as a whole which is also cool.

Shouldn’t you just rush the HQ with Artillery midway through the battle and whoever gets vehicles on the center wins first? Build a Lander and send 4 vehicles and you win, no?

I'm shocked at how many people build battleships, even at higher levels of play. I can't think of a time where it's EVER correct. Maybe 1/10000 times it can be right; but if a player adopted the mindset of pretending the unit didn't exist, they would be correct almost 100% of the time.
Iunno, rockets that are only vulnerable to planes and subs sounds pretty good on paper.

Battleships are actually good when they are in range of the frontlines, especially on a harbor. Indirects are great and only held back by their frailty. Battleships are expensive (especially since there is a hidden non-ground unit fee) and can only move in on certain tiles, but good luck ever removing a Battleship on a harbor. You're going to need Bombers, Subs, Mega Tanks even.

AWBW devs openly and blatantly reject any help to improve the source code of the site, so it is hard for anyone external to do much about it.

considering this is a tier 2 match and Nell was allowed and starflash did so good with Lash regardless of outcome this more shows why Nell shouldn't be in the tier 2 tournament next time and yeh luck damage can be fun but its also ridiculously broken and that final super could not have been a better example of it be it super famicon wars or advance wars.
Starflash has definitely become my new favorite player just because of him being so innovative with cos such as the jess video and lash here they seem like the type of person who when they see a map go hmm lets try this co no one uses here to see how it works out. well done to both getting to the final though
Nah, losing that stealth for free was just way too much. I don't even think Nell is Tier 0. Tier 1 maybe, but is anyone really picking Nell when Hachi is in the tier, or even Kanbei.
i agree on that even most say Nell is really tier 1 because of how broken some of the tier 0 co's are looking at u hachi kanbei and colin.
the issue is luck based co's themselves are a complete mixed bag since all their damage is rng compared to normal commander it makes them hard to properly tier jugger and flak have the issues of bad luck but Nell doesn't which is awkward.
the artillery lines to with Nells luck meant there was no way it was possible to wall against it with all the free damage the map did a good job of showing that for sure

Why didn't you use the AW2 art for the thumbnail? I like those better.
The program (not sure about AWBW itself, can you select it?) uses the Dual Strike art for the COs (see top right), so it's consistent that way.
@@charlesruteal9062 Keeping the thumbnail consistent with the program? I mean that's not a bad idea... but an argument could be made you don't have to use the same art as the program. I mean Nell's AWDS pose is just... ugh. I agree with Mangs in liking a lot of the AW2 art over the AWDS ones, but I actually think most of the AWDS like "Sami on the March" are at least passable but Nell is probably one of the worst ones.

God doesn’t want anybody in hell because He loves us, but you must understand why we deserve hell and why those who refuse to live under His authority will go there. He gave us the law (Ten Commandments) not to make us righteous, but rather to show us our sin (Romans 3:20). We’re not sinners because we sin, but rather we sin because we’re sinners.
