Fun fact - the plural of octopus 8d actually octopuses. It sounds ridiculous, and I hate it. But, that's the proper terminology.

It’s Octopi but we kept saying Octopuses so much that they gave up and added it to the dictionary

Octopuses is the proper term when using English word structure. Octopodes has also been used, using Greek word structure (though, it is the least common of these terms).
