Wow, this is such a bittersweet video. I've been watching old videos since you quit reporting. Like who knew 5 years ago when you took a break from TH-cam to get your career together that 5 years later you'd be quitting reporting to do TH-cam full time. This is great.
I was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, so I'm super excited that you got a job there. I used to go to Dayton for soccer tournaments but that was a long time ago when I was younger. I love going back because of the atmosphere and people there. It has 4 seasons and winter is really cold! Lots of snow so be prepared for that. Lots of humidity during the summer, like sticky humidity. Congratulations Clancy on the job and graduation. It was so hard for me to find that job after college and I'm so glad you were able to. Maybe do like "A Day in the Life of a Reporter" type of thing since you mentioned you wanted us to see what it's like one day. Best of luck to you!!

Congrats on your graduation and new job! I recently graduated from Florida State University and will be starting a job in Georgia at the end of the month. Finding a job before graduation was by far the most stressful thing I did senior year, but I'm happy that all of my hard work paid off :)
Congratulations! I'm from central Ohio, born and raised and an OSU graduate. The only things you really need to know about Ohio is Buckeye football, amusement parks, Put-In-Bay, and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.
YAASSSSSSSSS I'M SO PROUD OF YOU!! Oh, and if you love ice skating or wanna try it, there's an ice skating rink that's basically open ALL YEAR (even in the summer) called Hobart Arena in Troy, OH. My fam and I used to go there all the time and we loved it. We also had a tradition to go to Steak & Shake right after skating. It's only 25 mi. north of Dayton, so it's a pretty easy drive! Hope your first dive into your career goes amazing 💕

A few things...you have to try Skyline or Gold Star for Cincinnati style chili; try buckeye candies; and it's not uncommon to wear shorts and a winter coat in the same week. Good luck in Dayton! I'm literally so shook because I live 30 minutes south from Dayton in Monroe. This is so cool. Ohio literally has 4 seasons within a matter of 8 hours with flatter, small scale valley-type hills. YOU NEED TO VISIT CINCINNATI!!! You need to spend as much time as you can there. Find a group of friends or family and find some time to venture out and try all the finest foods of Cincinnati (don't worry, these chains reach Dayton!!). Graeters Ice Cream, LaRosa's Pizza, Gold Star Chili or Skyline Chili (you'll have to try both to find which you like more). Tom + Chee... ummmmm best grilled cheese and tomato soup you'll ever have. Visit Rhinegeist brewery!! Omg I'm so excited for you. People complain about Ohio but I couldn't imagine spending my 21 years anywhere else. Please message me for any other info!!

Hi Clancy! Congrats on your job :) and I can definitely relate to moving to a new city and starting over.. funny thing is I moved from Ohio to WA state last year lol but I grew up in NE Ohio, and I do miss it. The hardest thing has definitely been being away from family/friends, but you just gotta keep busy, and just call them a lot and catch up. Other than that I am really glad that I made the decision to move, I've met so many cool people and tried new things and just a change of scenery was nice.. and I've had a lotttt of free time to try new hobbies like yoga and painting.. It's reassuring knowing that I can always go visit home but also it's time to focus on myself. Good luck with everything and it will get easier!!

I'm from around Dayton, Ohio. You missed some festivals but there are plenty more to come in the summer. So happy you are moving here!! However, it is really windy here in the winter so make sure you have a nice heavy coat gloves and ear muffs. :)

A few things...you have to try Skyline or Gold Star for Cincinnati style chili; try buckeye candies; and it's not uncommon to wear shorts and a winter coat in the same week. Good luck in Dayton! I'm literally so shook because I live 30 minutes south from Dayton in Monroe. This is so cool. Ohio literally has 4 seasons within a matter of 8 hours with flatter, small scale valley-type hills. YOU NEED TO VISIT CINCINNATI!!! You need to spend as much time as you can there. Find a group of friends or family and find some time to venture out and try all the finest foods of Cincinnati (don't worry, these chains reach Dayton!!). Graeters Ice Cream, LaRosa's Pizza, Gold Star Chili or Skyline Chili (you'll have to try both to find which you like more). Tom + Chee... ummmmm best grilled cheese and tomato soup you'll ever have. Visit Rhinegeist brewery!! Omg I'm so excited for you. People complain about Ohio but I couldn't imagine spending my 21 years anywhere else. Please message me for any other info!!

I live in Ohio. Number one rule living here...be prepared for ANY weather at ANY time. It could go from perfect and sunny to rainy and showing. We have a very bipolar environment.

Hi Clancy! Congrats on your job :) and I can definitely relate to moving to a new city and starting over.. funny thing is I moved from Ohio to WA state last year lol but I grew up in NE Ohio, and I do miss it. The hardest thing has definitely been being away from family/friends, but you just gotta keep busy, and just call them a lot and catch up. Other than that I am really glad that I made the decision to move, I've met so many cool people and tried new things and just a change of scenery was nice.. and I've had a lotttt of free time to try new hobbies like yoga and painting.. It's reassuring knowing that I can always go visit home but also it's time to focus on myself. Good luck with everything and it will get easier!!

I'm from around Dayton, Ohio. You missed some festivals but there are plenty more to come in the summer. So happy you are moving here!! However, it is really windy here in the winter so make sure you have a nice heavy coat gloves and ear muffs. :)
