I just can't understand some fil-ams hating on this guy because filipinos embracing him for speaking tagalog or local languages unlike them.

they and some locals did the same to someone named island barbie. she sells ice cream on a bridge in siargao that financially support local children. you know something's wrong when people judge others and not know the person on a personal level.

That's the saddest part on Filipinos abroad they don't have much affinity to their native tongue/dialect. Nobody took the adage by Rizal to heart. 'Ang di marunong magmahal sa sariling wika, ay mas mabaho pa sa malansang isda. A person who doesn't love ones language is no better than a rotten fish. Filipinos abroad automatically lost their patriotism and nationalism towards the Philippines. Proof is it's so seldom for returnees do charity works. Most of the time foreigners are far more familiar on the issues that are plaguing the country and they are the one taking initiatives to alleviate such issues. Some Filipinos abroad would rather identify themselves us another foreign nationality and so allergic to be identify us Filipino decent, even if he/she is a first or second generation.😢😔
Wow, I appreciate some foreigners learning our language. Some foreigners are commonly to do skip our culture and language because we can speak English but I believe that speaking a native language in a different country is like speaking through the heart.

I’m from Manila. Watching in Long Beach, CA. I left Manila in year 2000 to migrate in the US to join my husband. After more than 20 years so much have changed not only in Metro Manila but also in some islands all over the Philippines. I have been on TH-cam and have only seen all the nicest places all over the Philippines like Boracay, El Nido, Coron, and Puerto PRINCESA of Palawan. If you want street food go to UGBO. FILIPINOS are naturally friendly not only with foreigners and we are family oriented and welcome everybody. I just discovered Tagalog Kurt two days ago. So he has relatives in Manila. Welcome Kurt to Manila.
