Reason why vendors are not getting any support from public is because of their high prices...
Asking the prices of restuarant and even more than some restaurants..
Let me list out some points why you should lower the cost than resturant.
Restaurants÷
1.They are paying the monthly rent of 50-60 k even more.
2.They are paying water and electricity bill.
3.Buying different expensive utensils, fridges, furnitures, fans, ac,etc etc for the costumers to relax comfortably and eat.
4.They have employees (salaries for them)...
5.Paying huge amount of taxes to different factions.
6.After all, still more in quantity and taste better than vendors made.
But Still vendors prices are higher...I wonder..I'm not supporting them though i wanted to.

According to my opinion all the stall owners should follow the guidelines give by the authority as they (stall owners) don't hv the right to choose wherever they want to set up the business. And according to me super market will be the best place coz there's a lot of space's evn for parking also no tension.
As a Naga and a citizen of Dimapur, I think they should go to SM. They might have the right to open a stall but not in city tower. If they are allowed to open in the city tower, make them take the responsibility of traffic and parking.
Have faith in your work and in your food. As long as it is good, people will come to you no matter where you set up the stall.
To push the cart, together hire a truck and take it to SM. During festive season I'm sure they will go to SM. Where ever you set up the stalls if your food is good i'm sure people will come to you.
Those vendors have chosen the wrong location where crowd congestion happens. Dimapur town road is very small and traffic toh nakobi ,on top of that they're taking up all those parking areas. With stalls opened obviously there will be crowd gathering there as always. It's even dangerous to cross the road in that area.
No proper dustbin is even provided by those food stall vendors.
Sometimes people need to co-operate with the authorities. The authorities aren't stopping them just that to shift the location.

I feel sorry for the street vendors, and at the same time I Love Dimapur City . But to grow as a city both in civilization and to advance as clean growing city. we have to set aside our emotions and respect the decision of the government. Yes, unemployment is an issue but just because someone has to earn a bread we cannot allow whole city to be filled with vendors randomly. Dear, Vendors I support you and enjoy your food as well but you should think of Dimapur and ur city in general and shift so that Dimapur as a city will grow . Its all about Right place for Right Business. Dimapur is growing and City tower area cannot continue to stand still. Thankyou

The district administration has done the right thing. They should be relocated.
Regarding the traffic congestion. Its is true. People, mostly under the influence, park their cars randomly infront of the stalls almost blocking the road. You can experience the difference now with free flow of traffic.
The stretch is more like a booze joint at night starting from evening, unsafe for pedestrians/public.
Littering is beyond control.
Food safety standard is highly questionable.
They should sell in the market place. I support district administration

Really didnt appreciate the non local guy wearing our traditional attire with utmost pride where it was not needed at all. I don't have any problem of him running a business for survival in our land.But our tradition our attire is our unique Identity which we all irrespective of whatever tribe wears it with utmost pride. I don't mean only Nagas should be wearing one but it goes alongside on the special occasions even us(you and me) we never wear as our casual fashion because we respect. Seriously frustrated seeing this but Let bygone be bygone. I genuinely wish that we all respect our tradition our identity and never misuse the gift that are inherited to us by our forefathers

In other parts of our country street food is cheap and tasty.
Reason people choose to eat street food is mainly because of price difference.
But I have experienced the quality deteriorated with time in our City tower food stalls n price same as restaurants.
Maybe it is a time to speculate the service provided to public. If they do that customers will locate the vendors wherever they set up n also add new customers too.

Vendors don't have the right to question the authority in this case. Yes it's their livelihood but the location is not for stalls. Strict action should be taken and rules properly followed if the city is to advance. The authorities concerned in town planning and police are extremely lenient in terms of rules and regulations. Vendors should accept the decision body and move out from the designated area. There is no argument on that
If you can pull or drive your food truck an come to City tower why not go till Supermarket or some convenient place if your food is good people will come an search for it even if it's inside some colony lanes City tower is not your compound dear vendors you can't simply choose as you like either go an set up in Supermarket or Stadium in Oriental colony some vendors have already set up in Duncan Area.

Vendors should agree with administration.
Where is/are the elected MLA , when this was closed a month ago which was the lifeline for the poor and upcoming entrepreneur? The new government should provide jobs to all if at all restricting them to grow . Business has strategic points and not in all places as pleased by authority.
There must be many constructive ways to support the upcoming entrepreneurs and not stopping them or stragulate them while they are growing.

Creating noise pollution, littering the streets and blocking the free follow of vehicular and public movement is a matter of great concern...if they want to do business they can shift to any other place why only City tower???Proper hygiene should be maintained and the food inspection team should check timely on the food items if they are really concerned for the public and it's their duty to do so ... exorbitant rates should not be charged to the customers, business is not a single day work so don't try to think to be rich/millionaire overnight,it needs lots of patience, persistence dedication,commitment along with hardwork to Excel in it....Moreover, we have to think of the people residing in city tower area too as none should disturb the rights and freedom of the people while enjoying one's own freedom...strick guidelines and timing is very important they should follow the rules and regulations laid down by the government officials and selling of alcohol openly should be prohibited to those food stalls....

Local's price is more expensive than some restaurants...lost the whole meaning of street food...look at other non locals selling chow momo for 30 rs 50-60rs max but local price toh 100rs 120 rs....they also take extra packaging charge for every item even if we take 4-5 food items

Dear street food vendors, you all are working hard and we know most of you are earning your livelihood by selling in the streets but setting your food cart in the car parking and also setting your chairs and table on the foot path creates more problem for traffic congestion as well as to the public walking on the street as the foot paths have been captured by you all..... And coming to the problem of pushing your cart to Super Market shouldn't be a problem you can push it like you brought it pushing to City tower. So I support district administration.....

Why interview non local, does he represent naga vendors? The vendors should have adhered to terms and conditions laid down by the authority. Why did they opened up their vendors till 2 / 3 am playing music and creating noises disturbing the colonies ?. Why did they sales liquor during these hours ? Are they supporting their children or destroying them ? If these nuisances continue even if they are shifted to super market, the people over there will face the same problems. For the welfare of the people, all rules and regulations are made which every citizen have to follow mandatorily.

The city tower is one of the most garbage areas plus traffic conjunction. Especially, at night I culnt ever exit in my colony (N.S.T) after drinking one or two pegs of whiskey/Rum road belongest to their property. Therefore, Big no for me.

I support the District administration order. It is not only about the issue of traffic jam but many Nagas specially youths as a whole are tempted to drink alcohol, get drunk, date with random girls, trick the girls or boys to visit the food stall at night, party late night, and so on. This is the reason why money is wasted on those expensive foods, immoral activity and late night party is encouraged. One way or the other this is affecting the naga's life hard. I personally don't encourage it.
