IS ALH DHRUV Helicopter INDIA'S PREMIER PRODUCT? Yes, it is. India has a peculiar requirement - to have a helicopter that can operate (take-off & land) at the world's highest airfields & helipads - typically above 6000m. These heights are not to be met in any other continent (particularly the West - North America& Europe &) as they have no such requirement. Hence the ones bought from them fall short in this vital spec. Hence, India is forced to design one, for herself, with this USP. HAL did the job & this is the result with a "service ceiling" 6.1 km - Rudra & Dhruv. There are others too, that HAL designed & ready to build on order. There are others too with higher spec - Prachand & Light Utility Helicopter, with 6.5 km and Multi-role helicopter with 6.7 km. With this clutch of various helicopters, the world will ask India, for them.
@@rajagopalraj1894 Normally Indian (AV)press promptly reports all crash that happens anywhere. People do not miss it. Fact is these weren't reported, particularly so for high end new-generation helicopters(obviously made in India). HAL & drdo in particular particularly get bad press.
