I've been looking forward to this also. I admire your patience when working with the pe parts, this is something I'm going to have to develop myself when I begin working with pe. Thanks for sharing the tips while working on the model. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks Jason.

The foam rubber pads are a great idea. I enjoyed the video

They are called foam cradels and you can get them from micro mark in the US

@Modelkit Stuff I knew if I hunted through enough videos and comments I'd find the information I was after. Just placed an order for 2 sets

Looking forward to watching the rest of this build. Unlucky with that railing. I think I would have waited till all the main hull was painted before putting railings down. I built the Tamiya HMS Prince of Wales last year. I have bought the good more recent Tamiya Yamato kit. Plus photo etch detail sets for it. Seeing you fit the Tamya Degausing cable to this ship, makes me think that I must do the same with the Yamato, when I get to build her. Keep up the good work buddy.

The new tool Yamato is loverly one you have got everything for it but not cheap, so take your time and enjoy it.

@@ModelkitStuff At the moment, I have Eduard Yamato Railing Set, Eduard Yamato Main Set, and Tamiya's Wooden Deck Set, Plus the photo etch stuff that comes with the kit. I will order the degausing cable set too.

Good stuff all around. I need to check back with some of your other videos to see "how"you install the railing...I always struggle with that

Hi Jason, been following your Gotha build and also looking at this build which is great and really nicely paced as I’m not a ship modeller but have the Yamato and considering this kit as a kind of stepping stone.
Could I ask what you used for the railings in this video? I have the Tamiya railing set but wondered if these are something else?
Looking forward to the rest of the series
    Cheers
    Steve

I think they were infinite IJN railings as I recall I must say in one of the videos

Thanks for undertaking this build Jason. I am looking forward to following you as this is my next build. I did see a MK I photo etch kit online that looked very interesting in the large amount of detail it includes. Any thoughts on that etch kit?

MK1 is okay not my favourite especially as often you dont get everything they advertise on the instructions and have yo add extras. If you want railings doors, radar cranes and catapult I would look at the White Ensign models etch and take a view

Loss of small parts is always due to the floor monster
