If you’ve ever been to Greece, you know that Greeks are always open to conversation. They love meeting new people, learning about you, and asking lots of questions. But how can you keep those conversations going without feeling nervous or embarrassed?
After spending a week in Rhodes, I had a firsthand experience of Greek hospitality. The locals were always eager to engage in conversation, and I realized it would be an ideal chance for you to practice your Greek with them. But let’s face it-making small talk can be tough, even for those fluent in the language.
In today’s video, we’re learning Greek phrases and questions to help us keep a conversation going with Greeks!

Great video! I'm always having trouble making small talks with people, especially when im new to the language. I've learnt plenty from this video, but it would be better if there's also a english subtitle when you speak Greek.

I hadn't too much opportunity practicing Greek language when I spent my holiday this August in Greece :( of course, Greek people are kind and love to talk about everything, but upon they realized that I'm from abroad, automatically turned to English :(
of course my Greek is bad and maybe it was easier for them, but I was really disappointed
I had opposite experience in Santorini. If you start off speaking in Greek, they usually carry on and they're really pleased you're trying (even if you only know a few words and phrases like me!)
Many Greek students have this experience. This year focus much more on speaking. If they see you to insist and to be confident , they will adjust!
