For me I can speak a little bit Greek and I'm trying to learn Greek and one day I would love to go to Greece
Could you go there some time earlier? 😅
Polyglot.
Polla(plural) or Poly means a lot.
Glossa means language.
Polyglot ✅
Ρε Άλεξ θα είμαι φουλ ειλικρινής, αλλά είσαι από τους λίγους ξένους που όχι μόνο ξέρεις Ελληνικά, αλλά και η προφορά σου είναι ΤΕΛΕΙΑ! Μπράβο ρε θηρίο!
He said he learnt Greek as a child from his mother. That suggests Greek is pretty much a native language to him. Learning as a child means can you master accents. It's much, much harder to achieve that later in adulthood.
You are very good at breaking things down into bite sized chunks which are easy to remember. You empowered people through your logic and enthusiasm. Love this lesson. Will check out more. Thanks :)
😇 Thanks for sharing
I’m a Greek language beginner
The Greek alphabets are fairly easy for me (comparing with languages in East Asia)
Whereas I have picked up quite a bit of Italian during my travels to Italy (because English is not widely spoken In Italy).
I must confess to having just gone along with the fact that so many Greeks speak English, and are quite keen to do so.
However, having found your channel I'm going to make a concerted effort to add to the few Greek words I know.
Thanks from Denmark
Do you have any recommendations on how to learn Danish. Or if should start with another such as Norwegian or Swedish becoming they sound and seem easier than Danish and then learn danish.
@@Nick_G. Oooh, that's a tough question.
As you are probably aware all three Scandinavian languages are pretty similar, though they may not sound the same because of the various intonations.
Norwegian is closer to Danish than Swedish but many of us understand each other, Swedish as well.
I read the Bible in Ancient Greek, the Emphatic Diaglott.
True, it's important to find the right resources 😎
This is a nice summary of what you need to learn Greek. I’ve been learning for over 18 months now and really enjoy speaking Greek when I can.
Μπράβο σας. Συνεχίστε την καλή δουλειά.
I really want to learn Greek and English is my native tongue. I’d never been to Greece, but would love to visit.
Ευχαριστώ Αλέξη που προσφέρεις σε όλους τους λαούς να δουν τις λέξεις που προέρχονται από τα αρχαία ελληνικά ❤
He gave good tips.
I would really like to watch a testimonial from a person who did not have Greek exposure as a child via parents/family. That would really give confidence to people who wish to learn the language.
I know many words -stringing them together is a challenge - also , you must learn to think in Greek - you cannot translate word for word English to Greek. You do a great job of explaining the meanings and origin !
Few years back I encountered a Spanish Erasmus exchange student that her level of Greek and her accent (especially the accent) blew me away. She could pronounce Greek better than people with regional accents ( the accent always surfaces when you try to speak RP Greek ie Athenian and you are not from there)
romanian here and going to work in Corfu this summer
Brilliant, clear info.
Your brain can’t be the same as most people’s though?…
Almost a super power to be able to speak a dozen languages.🔥
July 10 2024 tomorrow I’ll start to learn
Did you? Or did you forget?🤣
so did you learn anything?
I’m Greek but not a native speaker, I’ve been learning for a week now and it’s such a great language. So sad I don’t know my yiayia and pappou on my dads side :(
I’m learning Greek😊it would be my third language
I'm nitpicking here, but your phrasing of " erhetai sto sosto simeio" means you are arriving at the correct point; a better translation would be: irthatai sto sosto meros (you have arrived at the right place).
Greek is one of the languages from the time of our Lord Jesus Christ 🙏✝️❤️, i’d love to learn it given that I already know Farsi and Arabic🫶.
slay stefel queen💅
❤
wow, també parles català? fantàstic!
Είμαι Έλληνας και εγώ βλέπω αυτό! Ξέρω πως να μιλάω ελληνικά.
Dis baie makliker om Grieks te leer as om Ingils te leer. Miskien omdat ek met n Griek getroud was.
No disrespect but saying you speak South African could easily be seen here in SA as offensive, considering our not so distant past, where fellow South Africans who spoke english had to learn Afrikaans by mandate. And to a lesser extent the black natives aswell. We have 12 official languages here today.
I'm gonna take a guess and say it's probably Zulu or Afrikaans seeing as you can speak Dutch.
Give me a break buddy.
Encore un insupportable exhibo qui se la pète grave. Dégaaaaage…..
My friend at your intro you should say ''Εχετε ερθει στο σωστο μερος(place)''instead of ''σημειο''(point) even if the have almost same meaning.I definitely don't judge you for this because only native speakers know these small details as in every language.Your accent is on point tho!
