    Did the lower crash bars protect the clutch and brake pedals?

    Nice job!! The last 2 months i watch videos from crash bars at T7.
    I see at those videos that is bad idea to install type of crash bars that fits at engine bolts,cause if you fall ,maybe do damage at the engine...
    Is there any other type of crash bars for Tuareg that fits at other bolts ,exept engine bolts???

    Thanks mate! Followed your instructions and got the job done. Looking forwards to seeing more of your videos on the Tuareg. Happy new year!🏍

    Hi Stick's thank you very much for the tutorial! Knowing the tools to have and the tips was very helpful in getting my lower and upper bars installed! Much appreciated!

    thanks for the tutorial. I too need to get some protection for mine. Have you investigated any hand guards yet for it? Like Barkbusters or Acerbis?

      My pleasure! I actually just installed bark busters. The Bark busters VPS tapered handle bar universal kit works great. Close clearance to the clutch cable and front brake line, but they work!

      @@SticksTricks thanks. I also contacted Bark Buster and they said they just had the Tuareg in their shop and would be coming out with a specific model soon for it. Cheers

      Hepco Becker... check those out...3 point mounting, end of bars, mirror bracket and handlebar mount!

    That lower bolt on the right side is a bitch to deal with. Thanks for pointing that out. A lot of people when they do installation videos don't mention the difficult areas. I would rather know and be prepared rather than finding out on my own. I did the same install on my blue one and I also did the skid plate as well. Heed has really good pricing, but their boxes are cheap. The skid plate came with 1/2 of the hardware missing. Heed sent me some replacements, but it took 2 weeks to get them. Thanks for the video.

    Are you still satisfied with the crash bars?

  • @humech
    @humech 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I would buy this if it didn't block the duckbill in the front. If the upper crossbar sat a bit lower, so that the yellow "front spoiler" thing below the headlight wasn't hidden by the bar, I would be all over this crash bar set! I know I'm being picky, they seem reasonably priced, but I did kinda buy the Tuareg because of how it looks 😅

      Humor at a high level. Buying a motorcycle Swiss army knife for looks, then reflecting that protection isn't pretty enough. I'm just almost completely speechless. Maybe no extra protection is needed if you have it to show it off instead of driving off-road.

    Hi, thanks for the video. Do you know the weight of the upper crash bars?

    • @SticksTricks
      @SticksTricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My pleasure! I do not know the weight, but it is not much. I noticed no change in the balance of the machine while handling the bike on and off the road after installation. I hope this helps!

    Have you noticed any vibrations coming from the crash bars??

    • @SticksTricks
      @SticksTricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have heard of people feeling more, and some who feel no difference. They definitely have vibrations running through them from the engine, and you can even slightly hear them resonating that vibration at certain RPMs. However I don't feel much of any difference in the handlebars!

    • @SethJayson
      @SethJayson 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SticksTricks resonating? might put a Great Stuff straw-sized hole in the inside of the plates at the bar ends and spray a couple of foam plugs in to break that up. (maybe there are already weld vent holes that can be used?

    So what do you think of these? Are they just cheep and junky compared to the name brand manufacturers?

    • @SticksTricks
      @SticksTricks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I think they are great for the money! They offer awesome protection, and I have dropped the bike once with them, only some minor scuffs on an upper bar, saved my plastics! Far from cheap and junky IMO.
