I'm so sorry this happened to you and your neighbors. What a unique historical document you have with video as it happened. Hope all are OK. Love from Minnesota
Sorry for your loss😢 I'm on a farm in Marshall, Wisconsin. I live in a RV on the farm. The farm was hit on Saturday night by a tornado too. Klecker farm. Direct hit. I bet we lost 200 tree's, 3 roofs off 3 building's, barn total loss. Neighbour lost RV and garage 😢 I know how you feel. Peace and love people.
I live in Rockford. I’m a trained spotter and hobby chaser. That was a “double barreled” Tornado. My niece lives up there. Had I known that was a hot area I would have been up there. Eyes to the skies!
Absolutely. As a storm chaser, the damage is something I’ve seen many times, but the feeling is much different when it is your own property that is being impacted.
It took my shed and gave it to someone else. Not sure who. I did find a partial wall. Most of my fence is gone. Some siding, facia missing. Rider mower was lifted up and put in neighbors yard. We faired very well considering some of our neighbors. And the main thing is not one person was really hurt. We thank God for that.
Glad you and yours are safe. We lived I. Oklahoma fir years and have experienced many a tornado. It’s so challenging. We moved years ago and haven’t seen or been in a tornado since. Very grateful.
Oh, Lord. Glad they're alright. I've passed by Janesville many times. I used to vacation in far Northern Wisconsin when I was younger. I was in Fremont, wisconsin fishing on the Wolf River when a supercell thunderstorm developed somewhat quickly ahead of me. I was terrified. Had never seen a supercell before. I passed through Janesville maybe a few months ago.
This is very memorable! My husband and I live a mile and a half away. Thankfully your friend who lives Terrace was spared. The neighbors across the street lost the roof. Glad everybody was safe. Could have been so much worse.
Glad you and your family are ok, brother! I live in Madison and was outside during those storms. Those were dangerous indeed. Again, I am glad you are safe!
We are in South Beloit and knew what was happening. I was praying that no one was killed or badly injured. The wind was awful here, I can’t imagine what it was like for you. Glad you are ok and you really got some great footage.
Wow, that is tough to see. Glad you are ok and that y'all still have roofs. If your yard is fenced for pups, I hope they aren't too traumatized. How fortunate that the trees went down in the best possible way. Can't imagine watching it knowing it was near your home. Wishing the best with the clean-up from next door in MN.
The Williams Bay tornado touched just down from where I live and I had family on the south side of Janesville. That was nuts for Wisconsin. Sorry to hear about all the property damage but thankful that Saturday's tornadoes didn't claim any lives.
Greetings from Iowa County, where we’ve had enough of that crap. Sounds like no serious injuries over there. I know the cleanup sucks. But at least there was nothing to shovel, and no one froze.
I bought an older house in Oklahoma a few years ago. I chose a town that had never been hit by a tornado thinking I was somewhat protected. Until a tornado came up my street last month, the town still looks like a disaster area! Thank God I got a ranch house, I didn't lose my roof! The taller houses did!
I'm so sorry what happened to you and your community!😢 It's devastating and heartbreaking, it's a dream I'm sure, the reality is shocking! Thank you for sharing as devastating as it is!
Wowwww this is so scary and I can’t imagine what you are going through. Glad everyone was safe. I’m not far from Janesville and we had really bad weather here too.
Glad you all are safe and didn't sustain a ton of damage. I'm not far from you as I'm just in the Deerfield subdivision off Afton Rd and we were lucky to not receive any damage
This is a really well put together video! Your car sounds like it would be fun to drive! I am sorry your house got hit, but glad no one was hurt! I live in the area; this was very unusual weather. Several years ago, there was a derecho that went through town and did lots more damage, but no one was hurt then either. Storms can be very scary at the moment of impact!
Cleaned up some debris in a neighborhood not too far from Paw Prints Dog Park today. So sad to see all those snapped & uprooted trees. Saw a loose pheasant, too. Sorry about hour neighborhood. :(
@@alecscholten9464 we'll be back the next two afternoons. Every little bit helps, I hope. We are landscapers and most of our work is in Janesville. We went to Rock County Christian School as kids. Hurts to see an area and people you care about suffering. Just glad no lives were lost.
I live in Jacksonville,Florida but have a house and family in Green Bay, Wisconsin and I’m ALWAYS concerned for my fellow WI people. Please stay safe and many prayers. I’m so sorry your community had to experience this !! ❤️💯🙏
My grandparents live in the city that hit but all it was was a couple of trees down in the yard for them luckily nothing happened to them and to everyone that got hit bye it amen 🙏
This is something we don't see very often especially where I live. I am just North of Menominee Falls in Jackson, but storms generally fall apart here as it is just 1 county over to the East when storms hit that cooler air off of Lake Michigan. I was going to go chase that day as I normally do when they are within 2-3 hrs from me, but I knew they were going to be mainly rain wrapped, and without another passenger to help guide me and film while I drive I chose not to chase. I was right as they all became rain wrapped. Great capture of the touchdown tho and sorry about your house getting struck! Hopefully you have insurance?
Been some nasty weather in that part of the world this year, I live in Memphis in the south and went through a tornado about 6 in the morning it was a EF 2 but it wasn't a direct hit just the inflow, that was freaky enough, not even a mile away though was a different story, lots of damage , that was around 4 years ago, about 14 years I was just got done eating at a casino buffet in Mississippi and was heading home afterwards and got blown off the road by a spin up tornado in a tree,it shoved the motor into the car, I bent the steering wheel all the way down on both sides, shattered my hip and ankle ,broke the femur in my leg cut my spleen also damaged my knee ,my leg was twisted backwards and the pontiac lettering from the steering wheel was pressed on my chest,3 days before that on October 23 ,2010 my house caught fire and nearly burned down at 4:30 am, that was definitely the worst week of October I ever had ,glad I was able to wake 2 other people up and get them out, sure am glad nobody died in your tornado ✌️
Are you a chaser? I'm assuming you are because we are usually the only ones out In this type of situation intentionally. I was not out on this one---Ironic Since it was right in my own town. I live across the river on the west side. So only a few miles away. I was watching multiple radars, And was shocked when I saw a debris ball! That just doesn't happen here! But obviously It does now You got some good footage and I am so sorry that you had damage.. It makes it different when it's in your neighborhood. Goid video!
Alec, may I have permission to use a short 10 second clip of the twister for my clip? This happened while I was live on stream and was wondering if I could used it for my short and TikTok? I've give you credit for the clip and put your name over the video
Because I have been a storm chaser for 19 years and have seen around 300 tornadoes. Im well trained in navigating around these dangerous storms. I just so happened to have this touch down close by and impact my property directly. Very ironic, a one in a million misfortune!

I'm impressed that the power lines were still up, considering how all the trees look
Glad to hear nobody was injured. I live in Beloit and watched that tornado just cruise northwest of my location.

Awesome!
What did NWS say regarding this storm?? EF-0 or Straight line wind.
Was an Ef-2
Westphal out there saving someone's day!😁
I feel really badly for the owners of the house with what looks like a realtor's sign in front of it! 😂
What EF rating was this tornado ?
EF-2

Wait a second, was that anti-cyclonic?
I went back and looked. I think you’re right. Rare one. 2%

Never fun but at least it's just light EF0-EF1 damage
Rated EF-2 per the National Weather Service
In the trees next to a rain wrapped tornado. Be shitting in my pants.

Meh. That's nothing.
At least your HOUSE stood...some people have literally LOST IT all...overly dramatic big baby.
Sorry about your house but thought there would have been more footage of the tornado
The tornado became shrouded in rain rather quickly as wet RFD (rear flank downdraft) cloaked the circulation from my vantage point.
