The song was written as a metaphor for their contract dispute with Virgin/EMI Records. They were recording this record when they were sued for $30M by their record label. This entire album, just about, was focused on that fight.

What is important is the inspiration you get from it. Don't try to believe that you hold all the answers. Vox Populi means "voice of the people" so let it be a song for all the people.

The beginning is so fucking perfect. I think the rest of the song is okay, but that part is excellent and right to the point. I heard this song on ESPN radio during a recap of the Blues before they were to begin the playoffs. It felt right.
I remember when I was 7 years old and discovered this album... finally after 10 years, I'll be able to go to their concert in Rome and I can't believe it. Their music changed a lot throughout the years, but it always gives me the same vibe, the same feeling I felt the first time I heard their songs. Maybe it's like this because they were my first favorite band and have been for a long time for me. Don't know but I love them ♡
