great vid! I started raising my own feeder crickets last year. Its pretty cheap and easy to raise your own. Definitely worth it! I started with about 500 feeders but they didn't last after the 3rd generation so I upgraded the habitat and got 1500 at different life stages and we will see how it goes this year. I use pearlite as a substrate to keep the smell & humidity down. It works wonders.
I did this one time I live in central Alberta Canada so it was incredibly pain staking work collecting them all since we don’t have very many crickets unless it’s a dry year but the ones we do have are a beautiful shiny black colour

The more you have buddy, the more frequent you need to replace the perlite substrate, it will poison them I've use them before.

You mean those big black crickets? We have them too, but I can't mix them on this culture since they kill this smaller specie.
