Cant believe GTA 6 wasn't brought up. Hey, saying it now - GTA6 is coming out next year unless delayed. Take Two suggest they will get an extra 3 billion in revenue before March 2025. That points to a GTA coming out sometime next year. They dont have any other IP that can do those numbers. The only argument against this would be that they are trying to soften the blow of having pretty shitty financials right now by suggesting GTA will be out next year holding onto investors. Once GTA is announced say next year, they can then push their solid extra 3+ Billion fiscal year to the year after and no one will care too much i imagine. Withstanding that it seems like GTA is coming out 2024. Edit: Seems this may have been recorded before the recent investor call that rejuvenated this information from a whole back so that's fair.
Can confirm how BG3 feels as Andy describes it, howdoggy it's been ages since a game has hooked it's fangs in me. And beyond that it's an such a diverse embarrassment of riches; I'm playing MW2 with friends, solo-playing Remnant 2, a game of MythForce on occasion. So many games, not enough time.
That’s so strange to hear that others disliked or thought the Spiderman DLC was meh? I loved every chapter. For me I think of the Spiderman DLCs as part of the base game not as lesser than scraps in comparison to it. I hope we get something more post Spiderman 2 launch? Hell I would dig a Miles Morales 2 that is the same smaller size as the 1st.
Same. And that Spider-drone addition (it’s been a minute) was well done. Loved Black Cat getting more screen time and the downward descent Yuri took. And don’t fight me but I believe there were additional Screwball challenges or an equivalent and I loved those in the base game especially the purely stealth ones.
They didn’t bring up Skull & Bones. It was last said to be releasing 2023-2024 fiscal year, but would not be surprised if it released even later. I think that game began development around 2013.
They need to just cut their losses on that one. Release it around the same time as Assassin's Creed as a veil and let it tank. People will move on to Assassin's Creed and forget about it.
I think it will be the year of Ubisoft renaissance. Prince of Persia, Outlaws, Avatar and first look at Ac Red and Splinter Cell Remake. Give them a chance
Baulder’s Gate, Final Fantasy 16, Diablo 4, and Assassins Creed will all be 2024 games for me. Excited to play them, but no time commit to them. I’ll be ok with a gaming lull
Capcom teased that they have more to show for what's next with the Monster Hunter series on Tokyo Game Show. So this coming September we are getting an official announcement for MH6 (Monster Hunter World 2)
We have gotten a major Nintendo Direct literally every September in the Switch's life cycle (17-22). It would be more surprising if we don't get one in September at this point. Don't think we see Switch 2 until the first 2024 Direct after holiday season.
Thing would be what’s left to show other than 2D Mario update? Can’t imagine they’re going cross generation with their games again, so it would have to be like the Pokémon direct and just be extremely light with little updates on stuff we already know.
@@EveryTimeIDavid I both expect them to cross gen some, not all, of their games again and have a few more titles to show for the Switch regardless. I can't imagine them just throwing away an install base like the Switch's. It's the third best selling console of all time behind the PS2 and DS. If Switch 2 launches in late 2024 as rumored we're not going to go a full year with no first party titles. At a bare minimum in addition to whatever third party stuff they manage I could see Wind Waker and Twilight Princess ports finally being shown especially now that Tears is out, the Splatoon 3 story DLC, the last Mario Kart 8 DX DLC bundle, potential Tears of the Kingdom DLC, news on that Peach game they announced in June, there were rumors of a Mario baseball game in development and also rumors of Metroid Prime 2 and 3 both getting remastered. That's all before we get to last updates on things we already know is coming like Mario Wonder, Wario Ware Move It, and Mario RPG. That's just off the top of my head and Nintendo always has a few surprises up their sleeve. May not be the most stuffed Direct we've ever seen, but I'd say there is more then enough content for a main Direct.
I think Star Wars: Outlaws hits 2024. Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora looks to hit this holiday, and I imagine once that’s done those devs at Massive Entertainment will move over to Star Wars: Outlaws to help get it over the finish line…
I feel like October 2024 is prime time for Avowed, Both The Outer Worlds and Pentiment released in October and did wonders for the team. Obsidian knows their fans will be there for their games because they understand who is behind them.
in regards to the multimillion selling capcom game, it was also reported that it was a small team of mostly animators. i think its a new Ace Attorney not monster hunter
Nintendo Directs typically focus on the next 6 months with maybe one announcement at the end that is further off, and I feel like Playstation is starting to follow that trend now that they have State of Plays. Their last showcase showed off what we can expect in the long term, so I would expect a State of Play to focus more on what's coming in the short term. To be honest, I kind of prefer that strategy to announcing an entire 2024 slate of games coming - it builds the hype for surprises!
Yeah, I haaaate finding out about games that are 2-4 years off that they don't even fully know what the game is yet, and it could get delayed, cancelled changed. I wish we found out a max of one year ahead, which is a PLENTY amount of time to build hype.
Suicide Squad has a decent chance of failure, but not in the way of Redfall - Redfall's biggest issues were performance and design. I think Suicide Squad's issues will be GaaS related.
Suicide Squad will hit its date, people will stop saying those two words together after 2 months and then Rocksteady gets disbanded and made into WB Games.
I am going to play Baldurs Gate as a good guy keeping everyone alive. I want to watch someone who kicks all the squirrels and kills all their friends for me.
Games I’m looking forward to: Death Stranding 2 Diesel Legacy: The Brazen Age Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Haunted Chocolatier Marvel’s Wolverine Metal Slug Tactics Mina the Hollower Project L Tekken 8 World of Horror
My only thought with a new Monster Hunter is that, given that ps5 software sales are pretty lacklustre in Japan, does it skip releasing on a Nintendo platform?
If these 2 games release in 2024... GOTY is between GTA 6 and Wolverine. GTA 6 will be the most revolutionary and next big thing in gaming while Wolverine will be Insomniac's first masterpiece as it will be their "God of War/Last of us."

@@MichaelROLeary I don’t deal with people who play just for themselves though. There has to be some form of the group moving with similar goals, or there’s no fun to be had.

Suicide Squad doesn't look great but for me it looks at more fun than Gotham Knights. I'm confused with Greg, I can't remember him being as hard on the Avengers game and it looks as good if not better than that.
So two of their more popular and beloved streams recently get thrown out the window because of Andy's emotions. Then they restart the playthru on his own channel, not even KF's channel. Wonderful..
True. One thing I will say - Colin actually admitted being difficult to work with himself. Being depressed and negative. Coming too late to work etc. He even admitted that his political views never were brought up as a problem - that he even had a political show planned on the channel. This is the first time that was brought up. Goes to show that we still don't have the full "objective truth".
Why is the production so fucking high here? There is absolutely no way all you guys are doing that great considering Patreon subs. Y'all do not need all that bs lol just had to check in to see this

Greg forgetting that Yuri became Wraith in the DLC, and we know she will be in SM2. Pretty big continued plot point.

No DLC for Spidey but in a year or two you’ll see a Miles-esque Venom game telling the story of Eddy Brock
