- DJI have launched a new DJI fly app 1.13.8 and also updated the DJI Mini 4 Pro Firmware (V01.00.0600) and RC2 firmware (V02.02.0100) offering a huge update to the transmission system, I review everything and test flight these updates to test all features are working.

@GavinHR Download the updated manual that has just been released for the Mini 4 Pro from the DJI site, On Page 113 it goes in to the detail of Enhanced Transmission. DJI have a cellular dongle that attaches to the aircraft. Love your channel 👍
Yes they have had that a while but of course only accepts certain providers so still not a viable option for most countries I’m afraid. Plus VLOS really negates the fact of a LTE connection I guess. Thank you very much

Hi Gavin, just connected my Air 3 and RC to update and a further update must have occurred as it is now DJi Air 3 Vo1.00.1400 and the remote is now DJI RC 2 V02.0100. Thank You for keeping us updated. Nigel G
Gavin, although your mate Nobby Green posted this update earlier today, there is usually differences in the presentation and testing styles. All good 👌. That’s why I subscribe to both channels 👍.

That was a huge update my end a good 20mins download & my transmission is running the 5.8ghz but iam in Se. Asia maybe that's why iam getting the 5.8ghz transmission..thanks for the update mate.

Interesting to see you so cool with the wind. When this happened to me I panicked. Can you do a video on best tactics in high wind situations?
Also I got the original controller with the screen for my Mini 3 Pro and ditched the phone controller, and when I use the right scroll wheel to try and zoom it says unable to zoom, but if I click on the screen on the 1x it does then zoom?
Love your vids. I assume you switched off the VR green line when you do RTH? I hope that hasn’t disappeared with the new update?

Downloaded this morning and update was 1.13.9 for rc2 and is latest on dji website

Updated both app and firmware yesterday and at least on my phone the waypoints mission planning function is broken! If I try to load a mission planned from the map after the update the app crashes
Mine worked fine but let me check that

Apparently it's been reported by other users also and with different models, it's a general bug in the app

@@GAVINHRIn testing phase in Brazil for years. A much desired feature around here. It's impressive how the drone goes to another level with this feature. I'm sorry for you in England because this is a service that requires authorization from the regulatory body in your country. Gavin.. To give you an idea. I piloted my DJI Mini 4 Pro from inside my house lying on my bed and went approximately 4 miles. It's another reality and I really hope you receive this functionality. Greetings from Brazil

Have you had anyone say there drone is upto date even thou it's not.. I had this problem last time...ive tried a few times
Bug in this DJI Fly update (1.13.8). Any newly saved waypoint missions will crash the DJI Fly app when loaded back in.. I have RC2 and Air 3.. other users are experiencing the same issue, not just me.
Not just you. I updated two RC2 controllers to 1.13.8. Now neither of them allow creating/editing/using new waypoints.
Met de nieuwe update kun je de gesaved waypoint niet meer opvragen en krijg een fout melding.

I just wondering why you never mentioned the Air 3 even talk about Air 3 just in a second about for the new firmwear upgrade both the drone and the RC2 issue~ the world does not only the Mini 4 Pro exists, the new DJI Fly 1.13.8 updates also included the firmwear for the Air 3, why did you guys only focus on the Mini 4 Pro but not Air 3 drone?
I generally include the air 3 in my updates, the reason for not is I have loaned it to my filmmaker friend so I don’t currently have it to be able to show the update

No, battery updates are a separate and it’s rare for a battery update
Watched this last night, got up this morning (28th) updated fly app but no updates for controller or the aircraft.

It does indeed have an update, I have loaned my air 3 to my filmmaker friend so was unable to cover it in this video
Yeah the voice is out of sync when using quickshots and the rc-n2. It is definitely annoying 😒 😂

Waypoint problem after update to day.
saved waypoints give a error message when opening (fly app stops).

Notes:
• Before updating, ensure that the battery level of the device (remote controller or aircraft) is above 50%.
• While updating, do not power off the aircraft or disconnect the USB cable. Otherwise, the update may fail.
• While updating, the device may automatically reboot several times. When rebooting, it is normal for the remote controller to disconnect from the aircraft automatically. Do nothing before the update is completed to avoid affecting the normal updating process.
1. Power off and reboot the remote controller and aircraft. Try updating again.
2. If possible, use another mobile device and try again. For example, switch an iOS device to an Android device.
3. If the update using the app still fails, we recommend using DJI Assistant 2 for updating if you have a computer on hand.
Please let us know if the issue persists after performing the troubleshooting steps mentioned above for us to check further on this matter. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.

Can’t beat size when it comes to wind resistance although it was pretty windy !
