Disney Channel Commercials (April 27, 1986)

  • From the same tape as the WCHS Wizard of Oz. This aired between Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo and The 39 Steps during a free preview weekend of the Disney Channel, back then it was a subscription network like HBO or Showtime. There was also an airing of Bedknobs and Broomsticks from this same weekend but there was no commercials. I was only able to tell that it was from Disney Channel because of the number to subscribe showing throughout the movie.

    Dang...I remember seeing this very broadcast when I was a little kid! My parents recorded "The 39 Steps."

    Both of Robert Stevenson’s musicals were playing on TDC around this time. He died three days after these promos aired.
    Norman Tokar, the director of *The Happiest Millionaire,* also airing here at the time, died first in 1979, but Stevenson retired first in 1976 after *The Shaggy DA.*

    That's Sleeping Beauty and I remembered that movie and it's on Disney plus.
