Billy in this part of the story is so cool. He was my fav before the betrayal. His betrayal CRUSHED me, but it made him coming back to kick ruins ass all the more amazing
I’m so happy you 2 decided on reading the series, this was one of my favorite moments in its entirety. I haven’t been able to convince anyone I know to give this series the chance it deserves but I’ll love to hell and back
The more I thought about it, the more I liked Billy's powers so much. In order to get the powers to protect the people he loves, he had to make those same people hate him. It's extremely Unfair in every way.
One thing I don’t often see being done is people debating with each other's theories rather than debating with others about their own. It a shame because it fun, allows you to understand other people's view points, and helps you become a better theorist.
One of the things I always find really interesting is that Luna created the artifacts to help the negators, but she gave many of those artifacts outrageous and sometimes horrific conditions to be used (draining their life, having the cut off their legs/arms, etc.) showing her true nature.
So im only 14 minutes in. Something very interesting with the eden imagery is what happens at the end of norse Ragnarok. With 2 (or a small amount) of humans surviving with Baldur as the one true God to survive. And this might be because of the only written records being from post christianity Scandinavia, but just a neat detail. Im not an expert at norse myths but thats just an observation
Ok i completely disagree with Juiz (not juice) having the kill an ally for points. That literally would not happen, Juiz has always been the leader of the Union and Unjustice is an insanely broken ability, her going on the majority of the quests from the beginning would have her naturally acquire the most points
I look forward to them seeing Fuko become full protag save the world in the next set of arcs. It made me see how powerful she is as a force of personality. I was like yeah she alright cause she just seemed like another dime a dozen kind female leads in shonen work. But the fact her power is fueled by love makes her more interesting since love isn't often used as a power but also showing the heartache that comes from it. You can't write a story about the power of love in a logical mindset, the author gets that, you need intense emotion and a belief in the power of the romantic. Also fuko is just a nerd that wanted to read her manga and have a good time. Also interesting how these negator powers seem to manifest to make the users isolated, yet we see how it is subverted to unite them. Companionship and love is very important to this story. Damn this silly manga keeps making me ramble.
The imagery of the serpent being sealed beneath a rock is probably a reference to Herakles fighting the Hydra. The Hydra had two heads; one was immortal, but the other was mortal. Whenever a mortal head was killed, it would grow two more mortal heads in its place. Herakles and his nephew Iolaos were able to stop the mortal heads from regrowing by cauterizing the stump after decapitating it, then they crushed the immortal head with a rock to seal it. Also i didn't realize until watching this that Ichico, Nico, and Mico are a pun on Japanese words for one, two, and three (ichi, ni, mittsu)
everyone in the whole fucking world knows Berserk is a masterpiece, let something underrated have the spotlight for half a second. christ. and i'm saying that as someone who wants a brand of sacrifice tattoo.

You're slowly but surely coming up to the best part of this manga
Reading this section weekly was unreal. The fandom legit thought the series was being cancelled a few times with how everything was panning out
I am SO happy you guys have kept reading this series! UU is so special, and ragnarok was so amazing!

27:07 it could be a tabletop game like DND.

Just an FYI, at 1:28:20 that's AI generated art. Might be better to watch out for that next time 👍
I was feverishly trying for any non manga image man, my apologies, I haven’t seen the anime.
I cannot wait until yallre caught up.
