It’s only better in terms of not having garbage performance that cause the game to have a stroke sometimes. I mean, sword and shield do have some performance issues but it is nowhere near as much as scarlet and violet. Scarlet and violet have a way better story it’s not even debatable. They have some better quality of life and have rivals that people prefer over swsh’s rivals.
Scarlet and violet’s story is dry besides arven and his back story. Everything else is pretty bland, the ending is lame, the dlc is just as interesting as the base game, the models are flat and the animations suck, but worst of all the legendary pokemon were more garbage than ever. Even the gimmick was not even close to how interesting the last few games were
